cross training

riding is a good form of exircise. but... is it your guys only form of exircise. Do you run, bike, swim or go to the gym. What do you do to stay fit?

I used to only ride...but it wasn't working other parts that i wanted to work so i recently started jogging with my dog. im starting slow but im in better shape than i thought i was...probably from riding so much. it works by obliques quite nicely. i can feel it the next morning when i stretch, its a good feeling too. :)

I do full contact kick-boxing and find both activities compliment each other very well. The balance and control skills you aquire from riding comes in very handy when aiming your kicks and the lower body strength and leg exercises from kickboxing get even the laziest horse going Smile

I get a lot of activity cleanng stalls and working my horses.  But that does ot seem like it is enough.  I try to walk at lest several times a week.  i also do some pilates and yoga.  However I am not mearly as fit as i would lke to be.
