Someone in my group at work had a birthday today, and one of the group members brought in cupcakes. Knowing this ahead of time, I skipped breakfast and planned on having a cupcake for breakfast. Since I traded my toast and peanut butter for the cupcake, my calorie budget wont be too far off.
But guess what? IT WAS TOO SWEET, and made me feel icky all morning. ICKY CUPCAKES!![]()
Just thought I'd share!
is there such a thing as too sweet???
j/k. How long have been without the sweets to make them icky now? It's definitely something to aspire to!
I started my latest weight loss journey in mid-July. I've lost 13 pounds; not a lot but considering that included 2 different one-week-long vacations where I gained some and had to reverse a slight gain, I'm satisfied. I'm not quitting anytime soon so I can be patient.
When I first started eating better, I cut out sugar 100%. Then I went insane. But I switched to lower sugar items, and sugar-free substitutes (yeah, I know they're not the healthiest, but eh, I'll work on that later) and now the sugary stuff, I can't stand. It's like overkill!
I had a sip of regular pop a couple weeks ago, and I'm not a huge pop fan to begin with, and it tasted like pure sugar. I thought I was going to go into diabetic shock or something.
haha i totally know what you mean. i decided to treat myself to a slice of apple pie with ice cream and i went into a diabetic coma.
Same thing happened to me this weekend. I had a piece of banana cream pie and felt like I was going to have to crawl to the bedroom a couple hours later. I think my relationship with sugar is officially over!
