cups of tea

Quote  |  Reply
I find myself drinking lots of tea (mostly herbal & no sugar or milk) to help with cravings. Its works amazing, except I wind up leaving tea out one night and i'll see it and drink it again the next day. So does tea expire or go bad/sour if I leave it out one day and drink it the next? Because I won't drink it if it does.

If there's no diary in it I can't image why it would go bad.  Mind you I drink cold coffee all the time later in the day that does have milk in and I haven't died yet....just gone a little crazy but that's about it!Foot in mouth

common sense says it should be fine right!

It's pretty much the same as leaving out a glass of water overnight. It may taste a bit stale, but its not a good evnivronment for bacteria, so its generally safe.

I do the same thing...it's fine.

Sparksline, tea is fine left out over night or for several hours because I make sun tea all the time. I will sometimes leave it on the counter for days and drink it that way or put it in the fridge if I want it cold.

I do have a question though, does the tea you drink have caffeine in it? I drink coffee in the morning but I do limit how much caffeine I drink because it has been found to block the absorbtion of some vitamins and nutrients from the foods that I eat. I just wanted to make you aware of that in case you didn't already know that.

nope I avoid caffiene , except that one cup of java in the am. Thanks all!
