I've got a before and after photo in my profile. Do you think my weightloss makes me look older or younger than I did before? And how old do you think I am now? (no cheating and looking it up!) Just wondering what other people think because I really can't tell!

You definitely look younger. How much younger, I'm not even going to try to guess.

Keep up the good work!

You look lovely now, but an updated 'do would help.  My friends told me that when I got rid of my longer hair, it took 10 years off my face.  Go to www.mylifetime.com and get a virtual makeover.  It was pretty fun to do for me.  That could help you make a decision on what you should be doing to help yourself look younger.  However, if you're looking for the older look, I suggest taking up smoking, drinking and become a night owl. lolLaughing  I wouldn't recommend that to anyone.

Congratulations on your progress!

IMO you look younger, especially in that side-profile picture from July 8th.

Come on and guess! I'm not going to get mad at anyone...

I don't want to look TOO young anyway - DH is 7 years older than me and looks about 20 because he's had a hard life. We've already had the occasional person think he must be my father!

Gah. okay, well between Feb and July it looks like you lost about five years.

I bet youre late twenties to early thirties? 31?

My husband (reading over my shoulder) says he guesses 28.

lol

I'm awful at age, I continually guess way young or way old!

You're looking good, but the cut on those dresses is less than flattering (not that I know what would look better, but you're these dresses are too old for the age you look).  Something about how they abruptly cut from a print into a solid color just bugs me for some reason.  Maybe an episode of "What not to wear" from TLC would have some good ideas for you.

I think you look younger now. I would guess you are 34-36. :) No insult intended if you are younger. :x

the weight loss has taken some years off.... but an update in wardrobe, hair style would do wonders.... like another poset noted, for older a hair cut can make you look much younger.... under 20 short hair makes you look older, but over 30 short hair makes you look yonger.

I think you look younger.  I would say 24?  You look great, and are doing so good on your new life style changes to eating.  Great jobLaughing

You definitely look younger, congrats on the great job by the way, and I'd guess around 28

Younger.  Hands down.

Congratulations!!!!

You look like u r in your early 30's now and u looked older in your before pic.

I would say 35ish, which isn't even old. I think since you look smart I assume you are older :) Anyway, I think you look younger because you look healthier.

Here is the thing I have noticed with me, though. I have lost a fair amount of weight and one night (after I had been drinking) I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and guess what? I looked older. I think a lot of it has to do with losing the 'baby fat' from my cheeks/neck/chin or whatever. I think, in a way, people with more fat on their face have a more youthful appearance....I guess the wrinkles get filled out? I don't know. Anyway, I don't know if you had a similar 'I look old!' moment, but if so....no worries. You will get used to the new you. Besides, you look awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've already had the occasional person think he must be my father!

You think that is bad? Try having people think that your father is your husband/child's father..........thats a hard one!!!!

You look younger now. I'd guess that you're somewhere in your late 20's.

You look great! Excellent job. I think your hair is pretty! I'm growing mine out long again (was down to my waist, then cut it to shoulders), so whenever I see someone cut off their long hair (when it's pretty and healthy like yours) my heart aches a little.

I think you look a lot younger since the weight loss.  Great job!  I am guessing 40's.

Definately younger!! I'd guess around my age- 35 or so? BUT- You need to get out of the florals and start dressing your age! LOL! (No offence intended!) Save a little bit each week and as soon as you feel you can shop in  the 'trendy' clothes shops - treat yourself to what people your age are wearing! Ask friends for advice as to what suits you, don't be afraid to experiment a little- try things on you'd never dreamt of trying before, rather than the 'safe' clothes you become used to? You've done so well- it's time to show it off!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I was very curious about what you'd say... and on the whole you're in the ballpark - actually you're under-estimating! I was born in 1971 so if you do the math, I'm 37. People always guess that I'm younger though - I think perhaps because I've never worn makeup or smoked so my skin is nice and smooth (and freckled from the sun!) When I was 15, people thought I was 25, and when I got married, they either guessed 25 or 40 (I was 33). :) And no, I don't really 'know' what to wear - I like trying on clothes, but when I look at the stuff in the stores a lot of the time I think that's way too young for me... I'm almost forty, and I think I was born old and boring! And I love 'florals' too, though a lot of my wardrobe is determined by what I can find in the thrift store - it's not really what I want to wear, just anything that fits properly and doesn't look terrible on me! I don't actually know what I'd wear if I had a choice of ANYTHING...

Hey kaj, I think you look younger. I saw your age, couldn't help it when I clicked on your gallery so I didn't actually cheat lol. But any way you look younger in the picture where you have obviously lost a great deal of weight. I can see the gleam and happiness in your eyes in that picture. You certainly don't look your age. I would have guessed younger.

The way you are smiling in the "before" makes you look younger, but I think if you smiled more in your "after"  you would also look younger.  So the key is to smile more, because it makes you look younger!
