Is it possible to eat below your calorie expenditure (have a 200 or above  deficit at least) and not lose weight? after awhile it seems that logically youd have to lose some.. &

I have always heard of people in platues saying they are dieting and all but not losing anything, ive heard people telling them to eat more?

Im curious because I havent lose much in awhile ive stayed around 1200-1300 cal mayb 1500 on a bad day.. I dont really want to eat more, 1 because since majority of what I eat I cant measure or isnt in the foods on calorie count so I have to do guesswork, I may be eating more calories than I know and dont want to chance gaining anything. 2 because I stay full at the calories im eating now 3 if i eat over 1300 i either feel guilty or get that feeling in your stomach were you feel liek youve eaten way to much and are really full and slow...

sorry this is a long question

you are 13! you need to eat WAY more to even qualify as a healthy eater.  1300 is not enough nor is 1500. Eat healthy nutritioous foods throughout the day and you wont feel bloated and full consuming 1750 calories. I'm sure someone else can give you the website for kids to determine your proper intake requirements. Don't diet, eat and play like kids are supposed to do.
Hi ame, Judging from your bio, I personally think you're too young to be concerned about calorie counting.  Your body is still growing and needs a lot of calories.  Just focus on getting the best bang for your buck on calories (eat quality food and not junk!) and stop when you're full.  Get plenty of exercise too, and don't obsess over calories at this age.  That's my personal opinion.
you are to young to diet and the only advice I have is be a teenager eat healthy and exercise stop obsessing......
ame you will get a lot better information from your doctor and at your age unless you are under doctors orders to lose weight you should not even be trying.  Eat healthy and get plenty of exercise so you will be a healthy adult.  Talk to your parents and your doctor about proper nutrition and health because it appears that you are currently undereating.

Take it from someone that knows.  When I was your age, and even a bit younger, I skimped on eating.  Heck, I think I ate even less than you. And now I'm stuck at 5 feet tall while the rest of my family is at least 5'7.  I'm pretty sure I stunted my growth with the lack of food.

I have a 13 yr old...she is 5'8" tall....she weighs 237 pounds.

Our nutritionist has put her on a 1500 calorie a day diet.

She can eat whatever, she just isnt to exceed tht calorie limit.

She has lost a total of 5.3 pounds in the last 2 weeks.  Plus she has been bike riding, swimming and playin ball.
