I am just curious to know what your calorie counts are at before you eat dinner.
I'm trying to eat 1300-1400 cals per day (I wish I could only eat 1200, but that never happens). So I'm usually around 700-750 and that includes breakfast, a mid-morning snack, and lunch. Does that sound too high?

I hit about 600-700 before I have my dinner. I do this because I'm a BIG night snacker, and I know I'll go overboard if I don't keep my daily cals lower to leave wiggle room at night :)
i'm usually at around 1000 before dinner, sometimes 1100.  i try to make lunch my biggest meal.

I have to ditto what Star just said.  My daytime calories are low (around or under 700) because I'm a night snacker.  I've come to accept it and work with it instead of against it.

If you're at around 700 calories before dinner and aim for 13-1400 calories it sounds like you're a night eater too.  Eh...just guessing though.

Oh, and I try to stick with 1200 calories....unless I workout hard.
man, i'd snack too if i only ate 700 calories all day!!

I like to eat rather big suppers, and I don't really night snack, so I am usually 600-800 calories before.
My biggest meal of the day is ALWAYS dinner.  I have to have a nice dinner or I can't sleep.  Weird I know.  So I usually hit about 600-650 before dinner.  That way I can leave at least 600 calories for my wonderful dinner.  It's actually easier then I thought it would be to only eat 1,200 calories a day.  Just eat simple, little things throughout the day. I promise you wont be hungry.
Right now it's dinner time and I'm at 500 calories for the day (I've been so busy I haven't had time to eat) so I'm going to have a big supper... maybe pizza, as long as I have the calories.Laughing  Usually I average around 800 before dinner so that I can have 400 for dinner (ie eat what everyone else is eating, just less)  Though on hectic days I'll only have breakfast and then soup for lunch and then usually have to have a big dinner (or ice cream).

I try to have about 400  for breakfast I then have a small lunch , usually around 200 or so (fruit and crackers, or egg white and salsa, generally) and then I can have about another 500 for dinner and 250 for snacks before bed.  It puts me at 1350 for the day,  but still gives me some wiggle room.  If the hubby comes home with something I can't resist I might go up to 1500.  I hate to do that though because it slows my weight loss too much.
I aim for about 700-800 before dinner...on days that it is more than that are the days that I tend to go over my target *I'm also a night time snacker...oh dorm life!
It really depends on the day.  When my fiance is home, we eat all meals together so my calorie count prior to dinner is usually around six to eight hundred.  When he's working, I'll get about four hundred calories before dinner and I eat around 1200 to 1400 calories depending on if it's a workout day or not.
I'm eating around 1700 calories a day with my workouts and I'm usually at around 1050 by mid-afternoon.  I pack in the protein at night
Gosh, I'm usually only at 500-600cals before dinner.  My husband is a wannabe chef, bless his heart, so I have to be prepared for anything come dinnertime.
