Glutamine is
highly in demand throughout the body. It is used in the gut and immune
system extensively to maintain optimal performance. 60% of free-form
amino acids floating in skeletal muscles is L-glutamine. L-glutamine
plays a very important role in protein metabolism, and it appears to be
a very important nutrient for body builders. When supplemented, it may
help body builders reduce the amount of muscle deterioration that
occurs because other tissues that need glutamine will not rob the
glutamine stored in the muscle cells.
You will help your body recover and get more muscles from it, it will also support your immune system, since it uses glutamine as fuel. Most protein shakes has glutamine in it, but supplementing with just 2 grams per day will give you great results

Do i take it everyday?? or just lifting days?? or whats the deal?
You should probably take the suggested dosage on the bottle, unless instructed different by a doctor.
One important thing is that when you supplement with individual amino acids, you should take them regularly for about two months, then stop for two months, then start again, etc. Don't take them for a prolonged time without a break. You can also take an amino acid complex as a back up.

Take it everyday, you need it for repair also. You don't have to cycle of if it, it is so abundant in your body so your body will love more.
