Yes.

850 is too low, needless to say.

If you need help upping your calories, try drinking things like milk or something of that nature, that way you get the calories without feeling like you've just swallowed a cow without chewing.

lol ok. Thanks

If you are a still a teen you need to eat 1500 today (1800 if male).  Not just 1000

1 day doesnt do anything horrific. eat what you can, and get a better intake tomorrow. however, if this happens often where you don't feel hungry, eat anyways. your body needs food.

i agree with the above comment, but i do think 850 is to low..    i had this issue a few days ago... had been sick and not eating.. then when i started to feel better, i wasnt really hungry.. around 10 i was at 820 cals..  so i had 2 pieces of toast and peanut butter aand it bumped me up too like 1075.. .. but yeah, every now and then isnt going to hurt ur body to much.. plus it allows u to eat alittle extra the next day

If you don't feel like eating or if you're not hungry, then don't eat. You can try to make up for some of your lost calories next time. I'm the same way sometimes. I can go an entire day without eating anything but a banana or something small... it doesn't do as much damage as people think, unless you kept up that habit, which I doubt you will. So yeah... just make up for it. Goodluck.

one day isn't going to hurt you. I've done it many times. Just increase your calories tomorrow. It's ok to do that. If you eat 1500 calories a day and times it by 7 you get 10,500 calories total for the week. So make sure that's what you eat for the week and you'll be alright.

Good luck!Smile

If you're not hungry, don't eat.  It's as simple as that.  Listening to your body's feelings of hunger and satiety is the only way to become an intuitive and mindful eater.  Normal functioning metabolism often means that some days you're hungrier than others.  If you're not that hungry today, chances are your body will want you to make up for it tomorrow and if you listen to your hunger and fullness signals, you'll make up tomorrow for the deficit you have today.

The answer is not eating because you feel you "should".  Listen to your body and you can't go wrong.  Unless of course you have a serious disease or are so out of touch with your hunger/fullness signals that you arent eating anything all day.  But 850 cals, although on the lower side, is no reason to force yourself to eat if you're truly not hungry.
