Hi there!  I am in the 160's and looking for some serious motivation to get to the 150's.  (that is an intermediate goal).

My stats:  166, 5'8", 33 yo

Need to do some serious work over the weekend.  Any motivation? What is your work out plan over the weekend?

Today - Cardio - 30 minutes on the elliptical, 45 minutes on the treadmill.

Saturday - big gym day - 45 minutes of lower body strength training, 60 minutes on the treadmill

Sunday - Either day of rest or long walk on the nature trails.

im also a 160's lady.

5'9"..166lbs...im looking to be in the 150's also

today: jog 30min

tomorrow: jog 30min, bikeride 15miles
5'9", 166.6 this morning, dreaming of being 149.9, just once to see how it looks, and maintaining low 150's.

Today or tomorrow morning I will go for a jog/walk for thirty minutes and hopefully do about twenty minutes on my bowflex also this weekend.

I know I should do more, but this is so much better than I used to be.
My fingers are crossed that I'll be able to "legitimately" post in this thread SOON!

Hi!  I am 32 yo, 5'9", and currently 168.  I am also hoping to get into the 150's again.   I can't believe there are so many of you about my height and weight.

I gained 70 lbs when I was pregnant with twins 2 years ago and still have 20 to lose.  I have been working out 6 times/week for the last 2 weeks.  I had previously joined gyms but since I'm home with the kids, I use videos during their nap.  Today is my rest day, tomorrow I will do 1 hour of cardio combined with weight training and Sunday I'll see what my energy level is and go from there.

It feels so good to know each week you are getting thinner and not the other way around!  I'm not too hard on myself and plan on losing the weight slowly but surely.  Sometimes it is hard to find that happy medium where you aren't depriving yourself but still losing fast enough to stay motivated.  I am feeling encouraged because I am really LOVING my workouts and look forward to them every day.  Basically I just bought a load of workout videos including some fun ( and slightly easier) dance ones and I switch it up depending on my mood.  So far so good!
I try to do some sort of cardio every day - 7 days a week and I do weights 4 days a week.  I didn't get my cardio in today - but usually I watch a couple episodes of Gilmore Girls on DVD while doing the elliptical.  Being in AZ its too hot to walk outside unless you get up at 4 am - so the elliptical has to do for the weekend workouts.  Weekdays I do weight class and a cardio class and recumant bike at the weight room.
I'm finally in the 160's for the first time in years and years, shooting for low 150's by the time I head back to school in the fall

Stats:
165, 5'9", 19 years old

I usually do 45 minutes on the elliptical 5-6 times a week, and sometimes 15 minutes of calisthenics (modified push-ups interspersed with jumping jacks). I should do more weight training, but I have to take it easy on my back for medical reasons.

I'm so happy to be where I am right now; I've come a long way from my all-time high of 208 last summer. But I go to a really athletic school, and I want to be at the point where people don't assume that I'm not on a sports team. Here's to all of our future successes!
Coming out of lurking to say hi!  I'm 29, 5'8" and 165 lbs.  My goal is 150 lbs.  I lost 40 lbs last summer-fall with walking and calorie counting.  Then gained back 10 over the winter/spring cuz I got slack.  I'm finally getting back on track, I've started walking again and no more sweets!  I have 5 children so no gym for me, I walk pushing my (very heavy) 18 mo. old in a stroller.  Right now I'm up to 2 miles in 40-45 minutes, that includes 5 min. warm up and cool down.  I don't know if that's good as far as distance per minutes goes.  I try to walk 5-6 times a week.  Hope everyone sticks to it, I know it ain't easy=)
163.........but hoping to move outta here and into the 150's real soon.......6 weeks here is long enough!! Come on.......we can do it!
hey - just here to offer a little encouragement.  i'm 39 and 5'8", and i used to be a 160s lady (164, to be precise).  now i'm 143, hopefully on my way to 135.  it does happen!

When I started my weight loss program a little over a year ago,  and finally worked up the nerve to step on a scale, I weighed in at a  hefty 233. Long year, but I'm down to a fluctuating 159- 161. My goal is to be back down at 122/127, a good weight for my 5'4" small frame. I work 12 hour rotating swing shift, so my workouts are limited to 45 minutes every day on my dual action staionary bike combined with 45 minutes of  free weights for upper body toning. Also do lower body isometric exercises to tone my abs and lower stomach. My meals and snacks are based on  the "blood type diet", which has helped me to refine my eating habits.
I am very happy to say I must leave the currently 160's. Hope you all have left too. I'm off the to the 150's club!!
