A delicious asain comfort food. Substitute steak for chicken or substitue firm tofu by adding during the last hour of cooking. Use S&B yellow curry sauce mix. It comes in cubes. Use one cube. Serve over fragrant rice like Basmati or jasmine.

Recipe Ingredients for Curry stew

10 oz steak, cubed
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cups fat free chicken broth
3 carrots, diced
1 small onion, diced
3 small red potatoes, diced
3 celery stalks, diced
20 g curry, sweet

Recipe Directions for Curry stew

  1. heat olive oil in skillet

  2. brown steak in skillet until the outside are browned

  3. put browned steak and the remaining veggies in a slow cooker

  4. break curry cube into smaller piece and put in crock pot

  5. cover ingredients with chicken broth

  6. cook for 4-6 hours on low until potatoes are done

  7. stir well

  8. serve hot
