Curves workout
Hello calorie counters! I hope everyone is doing well and is as happy as I am about their progress. I do have a question though that I need someone to answer for me. I workout at Curves every evening and I don't know how to log it. When I put curves workout in my activity log it comes up with weightlifting- light or moderate workout. Now on the wall at curves it says that you burn about 600 calories per workout which is about 35 minutes to complete the circuit. I just keep going around until I reach 45 minutes and I do this daily. I read somewhere that severly overweight people should exercise daily as it keeps the metabolism up. (someone please correct me if that is wrong). But when I log it that way it only shows that I'm burning about 200-250 calories. My workouts are much more than light or moderate but I'm not seeing another way to log it. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help and make it a great day!
Yeah circuit training sounds pretty reasonable.
600 calories for the 35 minutes sounds extremely high! That's over 1000 per hour - I don't think that's accurate.
i work out every morning to denise austin for 30min, which involves low-impact aerobics, weights, stretching, and i get on treadmill during commercials. i put down that i burn 300cal. in 30min. i have a treadmill that tracks calories burned and i burn almost 100cal in 15min, but that's at an incline and at 3.7mph. it really doesn't matter what you put down on your log, just keep up the good work and don't eat your calories back. i limit myself to a certain amount of calories a day, and don't go over, even tho i may burn 500cal daily.
HI
I do curves and only log 102 calories per 30 min.
Hi Mock, I work out at curves and we have the SMART equipment, which works off inserting a tag into each machine and then you get your results at the end of your workout. Everday i work out, i burn between 500-570 calories so yes it is 100% correct that you can burn up to 600 calories in 30 minutes! It obviously depends on your weight etc but it is correct.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
