What is your cut off time?
I was wondering when do most people cut off their "heavy eating" for the day..I have heard to cut off your last meal at least four hours before your bedtime..Since I usually go to bed around 11 or 12, I try to be done with my dinner by 7 pm.. do you think that this is a significant factor in weight loss?

No.
You will hear very different reports on this. Everyone is different. For me, I try not to eat past 6 pm. It definitely makes a difference in my weight loss though!
No. I don't think it's a bad thing not to eat in the evenings, since most people aren't very active then, and after dinner choices tend to be less healthy. But I read that only starchy carbs and sugar will get stored as fat while you sleep, proteins and other nutrients will be used by your body to repair/build muscles ect.
I usually eat dinner by 8pm, and go to bed around 10.
I stop eating when I get into bed, if I keep going after that I would have to change the sheets much more often.
Does it really? It's something I've never tried (and I'm at a frustrating plateau right now). Do you think it's worth trying? I would have to rearrange my whole schedule.
For ME it works for me not to eat after 8 or so...
Personally, I stop eating at 5:30, but that's because I can't sleep on a full stomach. I don't think it has anything to do with weight loss though. Just do what works for you.
I sleep better when I have something in my stomache, but I definately don't like a full stomache at bedtime. An apple before bed ususally does the trick :)

lolz.
We go to bed late so our last meal is usually between 10 and 11 PM. Yesterday it was at 7:30 'cause we both passed out around 8. :\
I have been told (and believe) that it doesn't make a big difference when you eat. Losing weight is just about eating less than you burn, no matter what time that is.

I stop eating before 8 p.m.
But I usually get really, really hungry at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m. But I don't eat. I always worry this is a bad thing.
Is it?
I know that it helps me to be finished eating before 6:00. I sleep better and I have recently heard that lack of sleep can contribute to weight gain. I have always been an iffy sleeper so anything that helps me get that beauty rest is important to me. If I get really hungry I have a low-fat string cheese. I figure it is not too many cals, gives me calcium and the milk in it might help me fall asleep.
yea, I usually try to eat something light and not to high in calories if i am hungry in the late evening time.
i usually have dinner at 5 and a fruit or yogurt at 8 and go to bed at 10.... but i do some hand quilting for 1 - 2 hours before going to sleep...

ditto Sad but true!
I eat my "heaviest meal" as you put it...(heaviest in calories) at lunch....I eat a light dinner and try and "never" eat past 5 p.m.....there are exceptions of course...but that works for me and "does" seem to be a significant factor in my weight loss/gain.
