Cutting out sugar = weight gain?

Quote  |  Reply
I have a tiny question everyone.....

Does cutting out most sugar in your diet make you gain weight at first?? I've been eatting at least two chocolate bars a day and an ice cream for about 4 weeks now, and a couple a days ago I went cold turkey ( well almost lol ). But I've seemed to gain 3 pounds??? huh??? Oh and i've also been eattin my 30-40g of fiber ^^

Anyone know whats going on :{

You've been eating two chocolate bars a day AND ice cream and  you're wondering if cutting this out will make you gain weight? All that sugar will kill you for crying out loud.
    I cut out processed sugar for the most part in January. Sometimes a splurge (like my birthday yesterday). Between that and dumping Gluten and Wheat I have shed 17 lbs. I feel SO MUCH better without sugar and I crave it less. Try Agave Sweetner (natural sweetner) if you are craving something sweet.

trust me, there's no way cutting sugar can make you gain weight.

it's just possible your body was in shock and is doing weird things, if you've been eating that much sugar daily for that long. but it will calm down. minimal or no sugar at all is the way to go. it is high in calories, hugely processed, and does absolutely no good to your body at all. cut the sugar and watch the pounds fall off!

ps. cold turkey might be hard, ie. you might crave sugar a lot after a few days and then binge. try to slowly "wean" yourself off if that helps.
I think this is the fibers fault... fiber will BIND you if you do not drink enough fluids to flush it out.  Therefore water retension and waste are needing to make a move!

Cut sugar out.  There really is nothing good about it.  Even if you THINK it has something to do with weight gain it's evil.
