D.C. Meet-Up Oct 4-Let's Do the Zoo

Just linking to a post in The Lounge. October 4th, some of us are going to go to the Zoo. All are welcome. :) Hopefully we'll see you there (*looks at Dee* ;) )

The Zoo sounds like fun.

Oh, hey, we should make actual plans. What time do we want to meet in front of the Zoo? :)

If Richard and Erin come over for lunch as planned, I won't be able to go.  If they don't, then I will meet you at whatever time you decide.  We're talking meeting at the Connecticut Ave entrance, yes?

I am in too, I would say meet around 1 or 2, but I can pretty much do any time.

So... there's been discussions of food and Zoo. Truth be told.. either the earlier or later we could do the zoo, the better.. 1:00..most of the animals will be asleep. Thoughts?

The outdoor animals might be sleeping, but isn't there a bat house too?  Any time is good for me.  Food at the zoo is expensive fast food.  I plan on bringing my lunch and mayhaps buying a diet soda there at the zoo.  I might pack my drink too, since the weather will be cooler, and it won't be as likely to get too warm to drink...  Just a thought.

I've been conned (forced, impressed, guilted) into COHOSTING a Mary Kay party that night, so I need to leave the zoo by 6pm.

Also, how are you all planning on getting there? Metro? Carpooling?

Metro for me. Do we have a time yet?

We're bringing the youngin, and he loves trains, so we might metro down.  I'm a little leary of all that walking, though.

Metro for me as well, and I have no real preference as to the time of meeting.

How about we meet at 10:00, then, in front of the Zoo?

10 at night? I dunno...will it be safe? Just kidding! Can I call someone at noon and meet up? I cherish sleeping in on Saturdays!

I don't see why not!  You could PM HK your cell number and get his.  He has almost everyone on his phone already, so one more number wouldn't hurt.  lol
