How many of your Daily Calories have you eaten by Dinner Time? (Before you eat Dinner)
So I try to keep my calories in between 1200 and 1400, and absolutley no more than 1500. I eat often Morning, Mid Morning, Afternoon, Late Afternoon, Dinner and a Nightime Snack. By Afternoon (prior to first afternoon meal) I am usually at around 350 - 400 calories, and by Dinner (prior to Dinner) I am usually at 600-700 calories. After Dinner I am usually at 1000 - 1100. Is this a good way to spread out the calories? What do you guys find that works for you? Thanks!
on workout days, i eat 1700.. and on rest days, i eat 1500.
no matter what day it is, i like to be at 1000 before dinner, if not a little less.. because my before-bed snack is my favorite meal of the day and i always try to make sure i have enough calories left to make something good :)
when it comes to weight-loss, it doesn't really matter all that much when you eat your calories, as long as you eat them.
I eat around 1400 calories a day. Usually, before dinner, I've eaten anywhere between 600 and 1000 of my calories. How much I eat for dinner, then, depends on how much I've already eaten. :)
350-400 by late afternoon seems really low. I eat close to that just for breakfast and usually eat around 1600 per day. I'm normally around 1000 before dinner.
I don't have much of an appetite during the daylight hours. I eat about 1/3 of my calories by mid day. I have always enjoyed eating a large dinner. This large meal helps me feel satisfied throughout the evening. It also allows me a few extra calories for a healthy late nite snack if I need it.
I'm eating between 1350 and 1600 calories a day on average depending on my excercise that day. By dinner I have eaten any where between 700 to 1000 calories. Some times I find I'm pushing to get all my calories in for the day if I've done a lot of activity. Fortunately today is one of those days so my snack tonight is graham crackers with 2 pieces of dove dark chocholate, YUM!. It always suprises me since I feel like I'm eating all day long to add it up and realize I dont have enough!
At around 5pm and before dinner I am typically at 800-850 cals and typically don't break 1300 per day, (although I feel like I am eating all day...)
I'm at about 600-700 cals before dinner too. Dinner usually costs me 400 calories and I have 100 left over for dessert or a snack.
Seems to work good for me!
I'm with most of you. It's easier for me to stay within my calorie limits if I save more for dinner. I'm one of those that's always hungrier at the end of the day and I like to enjoy my dinner. I tried spreading out my calories more evenly, but it didn't work for me. I always wanted to eat more at dinner time and I usually would. Now, I eat the same at dinner and less for breakfast and lunch and I have had no problems sticking to my cal limits. I think it's important to note that my number one rule of dieting has to be that what works for someone else may not always work for you. You really have to be in tune with your body and really find what works best for you. Good post.
Before dinner? Hmm, usually around 1100, sometimes less - but I usually eat another snack after dinner
