Hey everyone! I figured I would start a daily tread that everyone can come to whenever they pleased. Feel free to Rant, Rave and get or get someone else motivated. We are a group and should be here for eachother. You can talk about whatever you want on this thread. With more than 50 members now, I wish we had more discussion going on. Hope to hear from you soon!
Hi everyone! I fell off the counting wagon for a week or so but am back on track. Seems like football season messes it up with the drinks than eating bad the next day than feeling bad after the fact. How is everyone else doing? I will be logging in once a day if anyone needs anything!
Shannon
I agree! Football season is tough! And I have always been "the dip girl," bringing a delicious (and usually not so healthy) dip to the football parties every week. This year I am dedicated to trying new, healthier dips, and serving them with veggies and pita instead of chips and crackers. We'll see if the crowd is just as pleased! But, we could all benefit from trying to stay healthy during football season! I will let you know of any awesome, healthy dips that I come up with. Now, the beer.........that's a different story and harder to give up!!
Pita and veggies sound yummy! I know Rachal Ray had a new onion healhy dip on last week. I will look for it and post it! Maybe try it this Sunday! GO EAGLES!!!!
Okay the dip I was talking about is called Skinny'ed up Sour Cream and Onion Dip by Rachel ray.

Hi Everyone,
I've been doing really good on my diet, except the occasional slip up when at the shore. But this weekend was going to be good. My husband is going out of town and it is going to be me and the dog at home. No temptations of going out to eat, etc. Well guess what? My husband is going to the Eagles game in Chicago and he just called and said he had a ticket for me!! I'm so excited to go however, Chicago is a great food town. I'll try to be good, I have to go to cheer on the Eagles, right??
GO EAGLES!
You must cheer on the EAGLES! So jealous that your going to the game! Have a great time. When I travel (not like I do that often) I try to plan meals or stake out places to eat a head of time just so I have some healthy choices! Have a blast and update us when you come home!!!
I just got over being sick, stupid change in weather, and realized that I have fallen off the wagon of weight loss. I am back today and need to stay on track. It's crazy when you do well for three months and your sick one week and your old eating habits can come back.....:( Okay Okay, enough pouting and back to smilin!
Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! I need your help today! I want to make chicken for dinner. I have two pieces of chicken breast defrosted and veggies for a side. I need different suggestions for making the chicken! Let's try to keep it on the healthy side. :0)
I had the pleasure of discovering Wissahickon Valley last weekend, along wtih Morris Arboretum. Does anyone go walking there on a regular basis?
Also, I am looking to firm up some new goals and would like to enter a bike marathon, and may possibly be ready for my first body building contest. Anybody know of one or around the area?
Thank you.
Wow I am so jealous! Body building contest, thats great! I would check out the local gyms for any contest info. I have never been to Wissahickon Valley but heard it is so nice. I have been heading up to Tyler State Park lately to walk. It's up by Newtown but very pretty.
It is more of a goal....am looking for one in the over 50 range in the hopes I could not come in last!
Wissahickon Valley is so beautiful and Morris Arboretum is tucked away beside it. Great place to walk. Thanks for the info on Tyler State Park. I will look into it as an alternate place to venture to!
I am sooo excited! Go Phillies! Now I can stop drinking beer every other night and eating wings! How cool is it in Philadelphia right now!!
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! wahoo!! I agree about the drinking...it was hard to be good this past week, but I only started tracking my calories for about 4 days now...so I can get back on track. I find tracking the food I eat helps me realize when I need to slow down or try and alternative for food that I eat A LOT of! I am a big cheese girl...cream cheese, blocks of cheese, grilled cheese...etc, etc.
Well this is my first post on here and I hope to have good news in the future! For now, GO FLYERS & EAGLES!!!
Hey everyone! I was sick this weekend with a stomach bug but feeling better now. I was able to eat today finally...so far just a banana but it's kinda funny because for some strange reason, i cut it into slices...not sure why I did it but whatever works! LOL...
I also went to Penny pack park on Saturday! Everyone should try to get to a local park and walk walk walk! I took my pup Guinness! The leaves are so pretty it's unbelievable!
Hello everyone and good morning! I am learning to say "NO" all over again. I woke up this morning, went to vote and had an hour and half to kill before heading to the office. I thought about going out to breakfast and than said no because I brought my breakfast with me. Than I had to stop in Rite Aid and they have all their candy on sale. Again I had to say No. Than! In WaWa I thought about getting a begal with egg and cheese and only eating half. Again, I said no! So, as far as saying No today, its going well! Now I will have to stick to it when people order out in the office and just eat my smartones!
Excellent move on saying 'no'. Remember to say 'yes' to exercise and a healthy lifestyle. It is all a choice and we are all striving for the right choices.
Kudos to you! ![]()
Guess who is going to the NKOTB concert tonight? Gotta keep saying "no" to bad foods for tonight and also leave some beverage calories available hahah. For those of you who do not remember NKOTB its New Kids on the Block! I am such a geek but will have a blast!
