Hey everyone! I figured I would start a daily tread that everyone can come to whenever they pleased.  Feel free to Rant, Rave and get or get someone else motivated.  We are a group and should be here for eachother.  You can talk about whatever you want on this thread.  With more than 50 members now, I wish we had more discussion going on.  Hope to hear from you soon!

Shannon, great job on saying NO. I find myself struggling with that everyday. I work in an office environment and we have these "snack closets" where for like 50 cents, theres chips, pretzels, crackers, slim jims, sodas, etc. Then there's soft pretzels every Tuesday and Thursday. So I'm fighting the NO battle right along with you everyday :)

How was the NKOTB concert? My wife's been dying to go see them. It's tough to pass up the "arena food", hope you did well, at least the price helps to say No ;)

I'm really excited about this board and I'm looking forward to daily conversation/discussion. I think talking about everything with all of you folks in my area will help me keep my willpower goin.

Hello and Welcome!  Nice to have another person on the boards.  The NKOTB concert was crazy! So much fun. I felt like a teenager again :)  The prices DID help with the eating there however didnt help with the beer. I get one day to cheat, yesterday was it!

Great job on your Weight loss already! That's amazing!  Keep up the great work!

Thanks, hopefully it keeps going.

So, were the new kids still heart throbs? (my wife is curious)

OMG are they!  Still in shape and they are good performers.  I love thier new song Click click click!

I didn't even know they had new songs Laughing

Just figured they'd sing those oldies but goodies.

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!  TGIF!!!!  Don't forget to weigh in today :)

Hello everyone!  Hope your week is going well.  Thought I would stop by and see how you were!  It got sooo cold out.  Soup time!

Everything's going well here. I've been doin the same, soup, on these cold soggy days. Tomorrow we're having my 30th bday party and I'm gonna try to cut back on my portions so I don't do too much damage. The real test is going to be Thanksgiving Day, between snacks during football, big dinner, & big dessert. I'm gonna have to find somewhere to cut back.

Happy Birthday Gerry!  My 30 is coming up also!  What was up with the weather this weekend?!  Now its freezing again!

We are almost at 500 members!! Where are you al hiding?  Come out come out where ever you are!!!

Hey everyone!  It's FREEZING out!  Is everyone ready for the holidays?  I know Thanksgiving threw me off track by about 5 pounds I think but I know I can do this!   What are some of your tricks to get by the holidays?  I went food shopping last night and planned out my meals for the whole week.

I'm with yah on that Shannon. Thanksgiving sent me back to my starting weight (+8.5lbs). But I dropped that all back off. Here's to movin forward and surviving the holidays. I'll be out to sea for work for the next 8 days, but I'll check in when I get back.

Here's what I'm doing...

1.  Avoiding going out to eat.  I'm having people over our house instead so I can do the cooking and control what I eat.

2.  Eat a good sensible dinner before going to holiday parties.  It'll be easier to resist the urge to hit the hor devours & cookie trays that are always floating around.

okay I only took a very small piece...1 inch x 2 inches, but I still feel guilty adding those calories to my log...

It's amazing, i stayed in Jersey this year instead of going to my mom's and the urges WERE NOT THERE because i didn't have the usual, breaking up the routine is a great way on controlling the amount that I eat. Note to self ;) I have one last christmas party tonight, got give me the courage to just the eat the pork out of the pulled pork sandwhich, and to resist my best friend's coconut cupcakes (ala Ina Garten).  I saw some pictures from my friend's wedding today (which was only a month after my own, and right before i joined CC) and i was highly unimpressed.. i'm going to take my dog for a walk right now... lol. Back on the Wagon.

SO, i have a week off, and after a morning of relaxing, i decided to check out exercise TV instead of hitting bally's today... WELL, i did Jillian Micheal's shred part 1... and maybe i'm just totally out of shape... or maybe it's that i've LITERALLY never done circuit training, but good god almighty. At least i finished it lol. I'm going to get the 2 week workout plan now and see how that is, hopefully i won't feel like i want to pop a lung by the end of the week lol.

Wow! I wanted to try the shred.  Is it on Exercise TV?

IT IS. Well, day one and two.  I did day one, and i STILL hurt today! It's crazy.  If you go on the website for exercise tv they have this two week plan, if the rest of them are anything like this.. i swear i'm more sore after 20 minutes of that than i am when i go to the gym for an hour!

I did the shred 1 on Saturday and it still hurts to do somethings!  A good hurt though! I love it! I may have to buy the DVD!!!!  Is it level one and level two that is on there or is day one and day two?
