Hey everyone! I figured I would start a daily tread that everyone can come to whenever they pleased.  Feel free to Rant, Rave and get or get someone else motivated.  We are a group and should be here for eachother.  You can talk about whatever you want on this thread.  With more than 50 members now, I wish we had more discussion going on.  Hope to hear from you soon!

it's day one and day two. honestly i COULDN"T move for two days straight. it was crazy! i think it's supposed to be 30 day shred. Yeah could you like.. even sit without litereally plopping down? lol

CRAP!! So today i've had ONE ciagrette (yes another vice, oh my lord), and ate a soft preztel- like a FATTY philly one- sad thing is i even brought an apple and a yogurt for my snacks today, which i ate, and i STILL did this! This is why we can't quit smoking and count calories at the same time. If i add in my planned dinner, i have NO DEFICIT for the day.. that's the first time in 2 weeks. :( just when i was starting to notice a difference in clothes (Scale still broken).  I'm praying the weather isn't as bad as they are pretending it's going to be tonight so i can get outside and walk off some of those lbs. Anyone been to bally's in south jersey since new years? is it packed? i usually wait to avoid the throngs of short lived resolutioners (none of us here though!!! ;) )  Explain to me why i eat ONE preztel in a month and i feel like i just slapped my best friend's mother? Surely we can't resist those salty golden brown morsels ALL THE TIME!!!

I know pretzels are suppose to be really bad, but don't they say "everything in moderation?" So one pretzel a month sounds like you don't need to beat yourself up. Next time you crave those awesome goodies try splitting it with someone. Easier said than done, I know. I'm president of the finish your plate club. Laughing  My office orders in a huge batch of pretzels every Tuesday. Luckily I'm on a different floor so I'm not as tempted.

Right now I'm trying to "clean out" all the left over junk form the holidays and since I hate throwing away food that usually means eating it. Although I was quite proud of myself last night for throwing away a bag of peanut butter chips left over from baking Christmas cookies. Skinny Cow ice cream is really a good option when you pile on tons of peanut butter chips. Tongue out Well back to work.

well, yes, but it's sad when you add it to your list :(. Oh well, i made up for it yesterday! :) If i wasn't so lazy lately, i would have actually been in the gym making up for it, but for some reason it's not that easy to jump back into the work fray after having the holiday (12 days!!!!!!!!) off. I'll have to try skinny cow!!! Sounds like it's up my alley. My office is HORRIBLE with the birthday club, and the cafeteria with the paninis lol, not to mention working in downtown philly, i can have what ever when ever (including the yummy greek cart on the corner), but i've been good since pretzel day planning the whole day out and stickin to it hahaha, we'll see how long it lasts before i fall into a bag of oreos! Laughing

I also work in downtown Philly, but I manage to escape temptation because I rarely go out for lunch. The only thing I like more than saving calories is saving money so I'm a big fan of brown bagging. We also have a cafeteria in the building, but I usually only go there if I forget lunch or don't have time to eat breakfast in the morning. I think mornings are worse for me because fresh made breakfast sandwiches are sooo good.

There was a meeting this morning and I knew there'd be leftovers so I planned ahead and just had fruit and cereal this morning. I had a pience of turkey bacon. Ok, I had 1 piece of regular bacon too, but  I had to heat up my coffee and it smelled too good. I'm staying put at my desk.

I love nothing more than a bacon egg and cheese on a long roll! that's what weekends are for right? Wink

I ate to my plan today to a T. SO, i'm going to have a glass of wine... while doing situps lol

haha! Thats great!  I have really been working hard this last week and think I should see a loss this week at WI!  Has anyone tried the Bertolli Classic Dinners that you find in the freezer section of the supermarket?  OMG Delicous!  When Steve has to work late, I usually make on of these or if we are on the go. They are about 380-500 calories a serving and the bag comes with two servings.  Plenty of food. We split it acourse, but it fills you up, not bad for a dinner if you ate good all day and about 9 dollars.  Had to share. I have had a couple of these already.  My favorites are th chicken parm and Penne, Chicken Florentine and Farfalle and the Chicken Rigatoni and Broccoli (that one is only 380 calories) Yum! Thought I would share!

well i think that glass turned into half a bottle.... which it usually does which is why i'm not having it in the house anymore lol. For some reason a bottle of beer i can have and stop at but give me wine and i turn into a little glutton. I'm GOING to the gym today. I've been counting, and there's a small difference, but now that i'm pretty set with eating, i'm headin back. I'm not dreading it, so that's good.

Brrr!!! It's freezing out! I mean its colder than cold.  Does shivering burn calories?

If only we were so lucky! We keep the heat down to save money. I shiver 24/7. Oddly enough I saw people jogging Monday night.  I love getting out and going for a walk or jog, but it's way to cold out these days.

Ok, I feel really good today. I knew I was going out for lunch so I looked up the menu and nutritional information before I went. I was shocked to see how much fat and sodium is in the food at the Corner Bakery. I wound up getting tuna salad with a pasta salad and fruit salad (the Trio). Altogether about 420 w/ a roll which I do not know the calories for and the sodium and fat intake was much more reasonable. Plus, I did not finish it, so I feel even better about that.  Usually I make a salad for, but I'm pleased I could eat out and not blow the intake for the day. Gotta check Buddakan's menu for Friday night. Mmmmm....Buddakan.

Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!  I just started taking Alli a couple days ago to help me for this wedding.  Not so bad.  Keeps me honest to my diet.  Has anyone else ever tried it?

oh shannon. how's that going?

I never tried it..I work for the company that sells it so i can't really say much.. but how are your side effects?

Please try to take a daily multivitamin if you don't already do so. Alli (orlistat) makes it hard for the body to process fat soluble vitamins, so you need to replenish them. Tell me how you do on it!

Hey.  I have been really strick about sticking to my fat intake and I have not had one side effect.  I am taking womens one a day every day with it though.  Tomorrow will be a week and I like it because it keeps me honest.

Awesome! Good luck! I'll be watching your numbers lol!

Ok, so I'm home today since the trolleys weren't running this morning. Thanks Septa! I was a little nervous about being home. I'm afraid I might get a case of the munchies. Shouldn't be too bad, we really don't keep a lot of snacks around the house. But between the cashews and tortilla chips (baked with Omega 3) I could do some damage.

So far, I'm doing good. Keeping to my work schedule. Had yogurt and fruit around 11 and just had lunch. Gonna go finish the laundry. I figure if I keep busy I won't be tempted.

I don't think I'll be getting to the gym tonight. I was really looking forward to it since I didn't get there yesterday. I'll have to figure out something else to do.

How's everyone doing this week? I didn't make it to my Zumba class on tuesday, so i HAVE to go today.

I am good. I have had a busy week!  You?  I am looking forward to WI tomorrow.  Today the scale showed a loss of 2 for the week but watch, tomorrow if will say one pound or make me stay the same.  Thats my luck!  I am being super good today and drinking tons of water!!!!

Hey ladies,

I was wondering where everyone was. Not looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in. It's not a good "week" for me to be on a scale even though I've been staying pretty good with my diet. I've also been sick this week so I haven't been to the gym since Monday. I was tempted to go today, but I'm afraid of not giving myself time to recoup so I'm going to forget tonight and try to get there Saturday and Sunday.

So how often do you guys workout every week. I've been trying to hit the gym at least 4 times a week, but I think my husband is getting annoyed with how much timme I'm spending at the gym. The other night he said I "don't need to go every day." I really do like going to the gym, but I don't want it to be a problem for us. I know he wants me to be healthy, but this weight isn't going to fall off itself. Anybody else have trouble with others thinking they're going to the gym too much?
