OK, normally when I eat nowadays I pretty much just look at calories. I don't really look at fat anymore just because I consider myself a relatively healthy eater so i find it trivial; however, I actually calculated today what my % of daily value of fat would add up to, and I think it's pretty high. I'm just simply adding up the percentage values based on a 2000 calorie diet which is rougly what I eat.
For breakfast, my fat comes from 2 packets of oatmeal. 6% (3% each)
For lunch, my fat comes from 2 tbsp of hummus, and the grilled chicken I eat. On most days I'll have about 3 pieces of grilled chicken which are probably about 4% each, and hummus is about 5% per two tablespoons, so that's rougly 17%.
Dinner is normally a toss up based on what they're serving in the dining hall. Normally it's absolutely disgusting and fried so I just end up exactly what I had for lunch, which again, is about 17%.
So in total, my "daily value of fat percentage" adds up to around 40%. I personally think that this is very high, considering I think I eat very healthy foods. Am I misjudging this? (*Also, I've been eating pretty much this same diet since September when school started. If anything, I've lost weight and fat since then, so i don't think this is a big deal. I do think that it's high, and would like some opinions*)

Not to worry, you are misjudging.
You don't add percentages. For example, one pack of oatmeal has 3% fat, so 2 packages has - still 3% fat, not 6%.
The analysis of the CC food log (if you input your daily food intake) will show you the exact breakdown.

After thinking about this, I'm confused too. :)
But I think the 40% merely means you've eaten just 40% of your daily allowable intake of 100%. Which is good.
