Darkness Falls Across the Land. The Midnight Chat is Close at Hand.

Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize your neighborhood
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller

LOL at #95 'cause it's likely the truth.

My Daughter has opening night last night for the community play she was in...she has a small part, but still...they did Oliver...they did a great job...She is only 10 so I see many more shows in her future

That's great, but why do so many community theaters do "Oliver"?

I preferred my town's local company...they were Gilbert & Sullivan specialists...

and yes...steeelers and eagles fans do not co exist nicely.

Say, I've been to Erie.

People are too depressed to root for anyone there. :D

you say that about Buffalo too. Thus, they're probably Bills fans ;D

Can't argue with that logic. :D

Neither do Bills fans and Giants fans. :p

Or Ranger fans and Sabres fans.

At the risk of blowing my image as an irreverent, sarcastic hooligan - community theatre is such a great thing for kids.  I've been involved with our group for 25 years, currently sit on the Board of Directors, and over the years, I've seen kids grow up within the creative and nurturing environment of community theatre - several are now professional actors - but still come home to take part in our shows - even if it's only to watch.

O hai minionz!

*hides from the gun thread*

Professional actor = oxymoron.

For the kind of money some of them make - I'd play a moron too!

Agree w/107.  Actually, I think it's great for kids to be involved in anything that involves creativity, be it theater, music, art, etc.  They are exposed to so little of it anymore, sadly.

Morning Erin :)

you secret is safe...will never let on that you are a nice guy...shhhhhh..

Tori had a blast...a lot of work for only being in 4 scenes.  But she wants to be an actress and if she does, she needs to do the work...to see your shy 10 year old get up on a stage before strangers and sing and read is amazing...she is in the school play too, but EVERYONE gets a part in those...this she auditioned for and got in...so proud of her!

This I agree with. :)

*noticed that you can interchange the words "god" and "gun" in some of the more heated posts - and yet the argument remains equally relevant*

*puts Waiting for Guffman on*
