How many days on average do you workout?
Hey everyone, I just wanted some feedback as to how many days people on average work out. I am just starting to work out, and I don't want to over do it, but I want to exercise enough to make it work. I like the elliptical (but only for short amounts of time) and the treadmill, and I take water aerobics twice a week. Would 3 days of cardio be good enough? 2 days with water aerobics and cardio?
I do 3-4 days a week of walking.

i tend to do something every day... i run 5-6 days per week, but on my days off i am sure to get a walk in.
Do you vary your routine, or do the same exercises each day?
Oh, I vary my routine. Every other day I jog. And every other other day I either DDR or use the Exercise Bicycle.
3 days of light cardio and lifting (never 2 days in a row!!!). I'd like to get down more often to do just regular cardio, but the schedule isnt permitting lately.
4-5 for me.. 3 at the gym for my formal elliptical and weights.. and then a couple of walks at home in my neighborhood per week.. on my off gym days..
I do between 2-6 days. My average would probaly be 3-4. I lift two days a week, and either run or bike 2-3 days. I am affraid when winter comes that it will be down to just the lifting since I run and bike outside, and don't like indoor bikes, and not sure about getting a treadmill. I want an eliptical, but want one that last and won't fall appart and those are $$$.
only my distance varies.

Uh... It kinda varies with me. It's usually 3-6 times but it can be more than that because I have track practices and in the fall I'm going to be on a swim team too so that's like an added three days or something. lol I think I need a day off.
I do 6 days a week mon - sat Ill powerwalk for 1 hour and throughout the week Ill try to get yoga in.

If the weather is cooperating, I usually walk 1.75 miles in the morning and evening each, to/from work. With all the hot weather, though, I've been getting cabs in the city, which cut out 1.25 miles of the distance, each way. On the weekends, I'll get the bike out and go for one long ride, between 30-75 miles.
Wish there was more time for a yoga class and/or weight lifting, but I feel like I'm at the limit as it is...

All 7 days. I rotate each day what kinds of exercise I do though. So one day it might be swimming and then the next running or playing basketball or something.
6, but some weeks longer and more intense then others. When school starts, I'll be lucky to get in more then a gym class the first semester! ^^;;;

Everyone's workout varies (as you can see). I would recommend 3 days a week to start. Like you said in your psot, you don't want to over do it...the goal here is to make a habit of working out.

I try for 4 days a week but Im scared to over do it.. Mine varies from outside walking to weights or cardio..
