Jumped back onto the bandwagon in a huge way and I have lost 5.5 pounds in 6 days

Sorry for the thread I am just SOOOOOOOO happy!!!!

It makes the difference of my love handles buldging over my clothes - to hardly being there at all!

2008 is our year people - let's do it together! :)

Oh just common sense really. Leading up to Xmas, I was doing no exercise and eating anything I could get my hands on. The weight started to pile on, so I think what I'm experiencing now is my body just going "what? are you exercising me now? and giving me healthy food?!?! RIGHT then *burn fat*"

I know it will slow down but just exciting to see fast results :)

As for wisdom, nothing you don't already know. Eating healthy, and exercising my butt off. I'll either do a 8km run, or go to the gym for 60-90 minutes of intense cardio.
On my "rest" days, instead of no exercise at all, I'll go for a walk so atleast I'm still doing something.

time to get off my butt and give them back... or at least to someone else at least  ;)

Nice one! That's really impressive :) I wish I had the motivation to do that much exercise... 20 minutes and I want to die haha. Good luck with everything.

I, too, have been serious about this new healthy life plan and have lost five pounds in the past week. It is true weight loss, not temporary as I can see and feel the difference.

I exercise about two hours a day, total = the bike, the glider, weights, floor exercises, etc.

I have been eating/drinking skim milk, fat free cottage cheese, lots of fresh fruit (as well as frozen and canned in water or light syrup, lots of veggie even made some homemade vegetable soup and ate it for a couple days with homemade cornbread (with skim milk), Cheerios,oatmeal, wheat toast with peanut butter, boiled eggs, cheese, salads every day (sometimes twice), jello with fruit, sherbet, no big SECRETS, no weird food, just - duh - healthy food!

I am eating so much more than I did a week or two ago and also enjoying every moment of it. I have only been trying to lose those last ten or fifteen pounds and live a healthy lifestyel - don't have any issues at all with blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc.

Oh I am so impressed! Life without love handles? Must be BLISS!!! Hurray for you!  Hope you get to go somewhere fun in a great outfit and show the world your success!

harryfirkinslayer - I've been there. I used to watch every second of exercise and could think of nothing but "when will this end!!" I honestly don't know where I'm pulling this motivation from...

sounds like you're on the right track sue, it's amazing how much good food you can still eat huh :) and 2 hours a day of exercise?! wow.. much kudos to you

vegetariangeek - thank you!! actually yes, a big music festival is just around the corner so may have to treat myself to a little shopping spree and get a hot new outfit!

I am still by no means close to my goal but every pound counts
