If I take about 5-6 days off from exercise...?
Given the circumstances you can probablty imagine I've been getting next to no exercise at all. My question is, when I go back to the gym next week, will my workout be stalled in any way? Will I find it more difficult to run, and get back into my routine? Or is six days not enough to have this kind of effect? I would just like to know in advance...
Also: generally, it's suggested that you take a deloading week from any vigorous exercise every 8-12 weeks to let your body recover and to prevent injuries. Sounds like you're getting yours in :)
yea a lot of times taking a little break from teh gym actually helps to get your body mixed up and makes the weight loss easier. i have been wanting to take a little time off but i can't bring myself to do it yet haha
I haven't worked out since last Saturday myself. Its Spring break and my workouts are at the JR college and its shut down all week. I have been doing a bit of working out though with helping to move an office and packing and unpacking
Over winter break I had to take 3 weeks off for an elbow injury - that was hard to get back into shape from but I am not worried about this one week of no exercise. Like melkor said sometimes its good to give the body a rest
Would taking a break like this disrupt activity levels? I.e. - would I have to change my burn meter to Sedentary for a lull week or keep it at a higher level?
I am active but trying to get pregnant; I am cutting back to about 75% of my usual load.
I don't know about everyone else here, but personally I see a large drop in my ability even after missing 3 or four days. Thats just me personally though.
only problem is motivating yourself and getting in that zone
i think that's what i get ikexango
apparantly weight training it's good to have rests as said earlier, i know some people on 12 day weights cycles
all it can do is serve to make your muscles fresh to tear them up again and get them mAsSiF
oh, also look up excercises you can do with out going to the gym, they'll help you sort out those times you cant make it
Anyways, thanks.
To prevent Overtraining I like to go hard for 8 weeks, then take 1 off. The week off feels like you are spoiling yourself though. Overtraining is worse though.

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
