Ever have those days when you are a non stop eating machine?
Today I am a total eating machine. I have just had 2 Quaker True delight Dark Chocolate Raspberry granola bars, 8 Wasa light rye crackers and 3 Laughing cow creamy Swiss cheese. That was just right now!!! I am at almost 1100 calories for the day so far!!! Yikes! I am eating more calories but today I feel like a bottomless pit!!! Thank God the vending machine requires money because I let my change at home in the change jar. If it wasn't "locked up" I'd probably eat everything in it!!! No it isn't that time of the month - that time came and went forever! It is cold today. - maybe that is it?
I have those days, and I HATE them! I don't know what causes them, but it seems no matter how much you eat, you are still hungry, and it's harder than normal to "just say no" lol!
So, no solution for you, but I feel your pain!
I think we've all been there before, one time or another. For me yes its normally coming at TOM but Iv'e also had this when I've exercised a lot.
Orwhen I'm bored.
Or depressed3Or lonely
Or having fun
OK let's face it I love food nad can almost always be a bottomless pit!
Get your veggies on
Been there! Done that! Beat myself up over it!!!!! ![]()
I now have this inner voice that screams, "NO!" DON'T DO IT!" Most of the time I listen, sometimes I don't. But.... as long as I know it's a momentary lapse of willpower, I no longer beat myself up.
Boy those granola bars sound good!
Trust me - the granola bars need a warning label on them - tasty beyond imagination can be totally addictive!!! lol Yeah they are really good.
You think that is bad? One day I had
1- bowl of special K red berries
a lean cusine entree
Not so bad, right?
Then my mother brought home my weakness ... a luncheon special from a local Chinese food restaurant.
I ate the entire take out container filled with sesame chicken and white rrice, then proceeded to have an egg roll and soup. I felt that one in my tummy for days.
I am thinking I will survive this day if I don't have a cake encounter!!! Today I could eat cake - lots of cake!!!

When I feel like I can't stop eating... I don't. I make sure to only eat healthy food and write it all down. Once I'm FULL I make note of how many calories I went over for the day. I make sure to burn off a little extra at the gym and I don't beat myself up about it.
that's how i get when i start eating chocolatey cereal. and my dining hall has all kinds--cookie crisp, cocoa puffs, cocoa krispies, etc etc. i've gotten enough control to where i can put them in a cup with a lid and walk out. if i sit down with a bowl, it turns into 7. literally.
Unfortunately for me, it seems I get those days all the time. I just have to chug back a lot of water and be done with it and not care about the grumbling tummy or I just reach for a piece of fruit instead of a granola bar or chips
You might be on to something. I have been eating the 100 calorie packs and I seem to be eating more bread - whole grain etc - healthy bread - but I might be overloading on the carbs and once again not enough protein.
WEll I am going with Ash3141's suggestion and I am going for it. All healthy. My calorie intake for toady will be 1800. That is only a 300 deficit. I didn't go to the gym today. Usually 1800 would be a 600 or 700 deficit with the gym. Tomorrow I will try to get a little more protein and add fruit for snacks instead of the 100 junk packs. A work in progress!
thanks for the encouragement!!!
Tomorrow will be better and it is back to the gym!

That's a really smart strategy to avoid eating vending machine junk. Good job!
I have a couple days like this about once every couple months. I GIVE IN! And it actually helps! When I feel like pigging out and eating anything in sight, I do! I use that as a way to kinda get my metabolism jump started again.

Your post concerns me a little - sounds like me when I started out - flat out hungry!!! Turns out I was not eating enough and that kept me always hungry and I wasn't loosing on the scale. Drove me crazy and everyone around me LOL!
GI Jane helped me get to a target calorie intake with my exercise level. When I saw that number, I was doubtful. Then so many people agreed with her and finally another friend said she lost a lot of weight at the high calorie level, so I gave in. I am really stubborn!!! Since then I have started to actually loose weight on the scale as well as inches. I'm not hungry, yesterday was some weird munchies thing. I get to eat!!! What is even more amazing - even after eating non stop yesterday and not going to the gym i was close to a whole pound lighter this morning. Weird.
If I read that post wrong and typed all this anyway - oh well it still might benefit someone.
I could happily eat my weight in Nilla Cakesters right now. ![]()
Supposed to go to lunch with my BFF at Bob Evans - I have my meal all planned out, thank God for online nutrition facts, else it'd be me and a bowl of potato soup...
You're funny!!! At least you have great taste!!! Hot potato soup sounds really decadent and yummy right now. I am freezing!!!
You should eat! I am a bottomless pit today and I have only had 670calories. I have been putting food in my mouth all day and just went passed the 540 that I burned on the elliptical this morning. I dont know if it is the same for you, but I see it as a good sign that your metabolism is kicking in. If you have been exercising, you should be hungry. Just make sure that you only eat healthy things.
My Day so far:
1 Banana 110
2 Frigo Light Cheese Sticks 120
1 small Apple 60
2 slices of Natures own wheat bread 100
4 slices of turkey breast 80
2 100 calorie packs 200
Total: 670
This morning was rudely hectic!!! I woke up late and didn't even get a chance to eat breakfast. That means out of whack all day!!! Yikes!!! You might be right about metabolism and hunger. I notice that I am hungry about every 2 hours.
Right on! At the end of the day: Calories eaten < Calories Burned = ![]()
