ok. i just bought the game a week ago, and i ve played it everyday for at least an hour and a 1/2. (its addicting). im still at beginners level, and i have lost about 4lbs in one week?!?! i know your only suppose to lose like 1-2 lbs a week. but i just lose track of time!

has any one else played....what is your experience?

its such an easy fun thing it completley takes you mind off of the dreaded "excersise". i know for me when i think of that word i just lose all motivation. but i think this game is my answer....

what is DDR? You have me very interested!!

Amber
DDR is short for Dance Dance Revolution. Its a videogame. But rather than play it with a controller you play it with a dance pad. The pad has four arrows. 1 in frong of you, one in back of you, one to your left, and one to your right. To play you step on the right arrows at the right time.
Where do you get it? it sounds like a blast!!
haha i LOVE DDR! That's how I get most of my exercise, actually. I know two people who have lost over 100 lbs playing DDR as their form of exercise. It's fantastic and I never feel like I'm exercising at all. Do you have the version that actually tells you how many calories you've burned? I love that feature.
You can get one for about £10 here, for PS1/2 or just plug 'n' play versions :) I think I may have to get one! Just Google it
theashter,

Do you have the plug and play version or the Playstation version?  We had a company called C-motion come to our school last week and the kids loved it.  It was based on the DDR experience and now I am hooked.  I want to know if the plug and play version is just as good as the playstation 2 version?  We have a playstation 2 but I have a child that is obssessed with video games and we have it put up now I am afraid to hook it back up for that reason.  That is why I am considering plug and play.

Does it actually tell you calories burned?

Thanks
omg, totally just bought this on ebay a minute ago!  you all convinced me!  ha!  my downstairs neighbors are going to hate me jumping all over the place.  i just get so sick of the gym, any other way to work out is always appreciated - thanks guys!!!
yeah i bought mine on ebay too. whoever was asking check out ebay or amazon...on ebay i bought mine from a user named "slickdealguy" he was selling a million of them. its awesome. so much fun!!!

your welcome let me know how you do!!! its such a fun game. you can even play with someone too. its great or really challened yourself by lying double pads!!
yeah it does tell you cals. theres a a mode called work out mode!! you punch in your weight how many cals you wanna burn and then go. its awsome. ive never tried plug and play i was afraid i might have problems.
I wouldn't take those numbers to heart. I've got a Polar Heart Rate Monitor and the numbers don't even get CLOSE to agreeing.

I love DDR. Seriously enjoying DDR Supernova right now :)
I got one of those for christmas in 2005 and it's awesome. I've burned 900 calories on that thing once
DDR? What a hoot! I never heard of it until now. Sounds like so much fun! Boy....I live in the stone age!
...

coffee, you read my journal. Waddayamean you've never heard of DDR?
I love DDR!!! The workout mode is fantastic. I always play it forever when I'm at home, but unfortunately I don't have one in my dorm room!! It's so awesome though.
Ok...Where can I get one?
hk...Oh ya! Ok...I didn't know what it was. Dippy me!
So cool! I gotta get one! Are they expensive?
the one i got on ebay was $22.00 (including shipping)

hey, does anyone have the one you just plug into your tv???  that is the one i just got - hope it is as fun as the other one sounds!  whoa, so excited suddenly!
what's a good plug ddr program that just plugs into the tv?

my neighbors got a plug into the tv one and it was really horrible. the graphics were really bad and the mats really hurt your feet.
hkellick, how are the numbers different?  I don't have a heart rate monitor and I'd like some idea how far off it might be....

DDR is fun but really hard if you're (a) uncoordinated, (b) bad at translating the arrows quickly, or (c) both.  I'm (c)...  but I try anyway. *^_^*
