This is going to sound a little crazy but my fiance talked me into buying Dance Dance Revolution for the house.  I never realized how much fun this thing really is.  We have turned DDR into a fun addition to our normal workout routines and I think it's really gonna be a huge help.  The game even has a workout session that "attempts" to track the calories you've burned during the routine.  I honestly don't know if we burn more calories playing the game or laughing at each other but it is definitely loads of fun.

I think the biggest part of being successful at this is to change up your life.  Find things to do that you never though you would and have FUN with it.  There really is no "set in stone" process that every person in the world has to follow in order to reach their goal.  Find what works for you and go with it...

I love DDR. I just reinstalled it on my computer last week to get my mat plugged in.  I forgot how much fun it is and will probably do it again at some point today.

That's great that you and your fiance are getting into it.  Just goes to show how certain forms of exercise can be so much fun too.

For those that hate working out I also recommend wii. I'm a bit competitive but I found playing tennis against my boyfriend made me break out in a sweat.

I LOVE DDR!!! I got it yesterday and don't want to stop playing it. Anyone play on xbox live?

I love the Wii as well!!  I have quite a few of the "active" games that we play often.  We have started doing the boxing every day for at least 30 minutes and really getting into it.  We duck and weave for real and also make sure our feet are always moving.  I can tell you that I sweat buckets (more than an hour on the eliptical) and I am sore every morning when I wake up!  Not to mention it is a great way to work out some aggression and stress!
I am crazy about DDR! My brother and I plays together, and when we don't play together, we play alone so that we can get better, in order to beat each other. haha, it's a really great way to burn some calories.
