Dear chocolate, why must you torture me so?

I am just about to get my period and like clockwork i just got hit with the worst craving for chocolate. Like bad. Remember the chocolate lake from wily wonka? I would swim in it right now. This always happens to me. I have a Sugar Free chocolate pudding cup in the fridge, but lets all be honest thats not gonna help. Ug i'm just gonna drink some water and pretend its chocolate cake... =/

i LOVE LOVE LOVE chocolate!! nothin better during that time of the month!! i find that sugar free fudgsicles help me out with a choc. craving. having 2 is only 80 calories! also, the sugar free jello you make yourself is waaaaay better and much more chocolatey!!

carob protein bars? it's not really like the real thing, but it's somewhat similar...

OR, you can try eating fruits to ease those hunger pangs... peaches, nectarines, apricots, berries, grapefruit tends to help in reducing PMS cravings! (:

I'd just take out a very small bar of very dark chocolate (like Ghirardelli-sized) and eat it slooowly by biting off a small bit, letting it melt, and repeating.  It's only about 50 calories, and I find that after 1 small bar, I am very satisfied =]  Especially if it's very dark, like Lindt's 85%, since the cacao content is very high

Oh! i've just discovered these WONDERFUL 60cal hershey's sticks. They come in little boxes of 9, and the double dark chocolate ones are DELICIOUS. They're so rich that I never want more than about 2, but even if you were to binge and eat the whole box (these sticks are pretty sizeable for only being 60 cal! about the length of your standard sharpie, though thinner in width.) you'd only have taken in 540cal. That can be gotten rid of in 1-2 hard work outs! :)

(I'm not advocating eating the whole box, I'm just saying...) I especially love to freeze them and then eat because they take me longer. You can let a bit melt in your mouth if you do it that way =D

They sell them at walmart/target/etc. so keep an eye out!

hey! Thanks for all those amazing suggestions. I scoured the neighborhood looking for mini chocolates but none of the delis had any and i knew buying a whole bag would be dangerous. I do need to look for those heresy sticks though woah they sound good!

I wound up waiting till i got home. I melted a few semi sweet chocolate chips. mixed in a tinny bit of skim milk to make it like a chocolate dip and then dipped strawberries in it...omg amazing

I am very proud i made it through my craving without giving in to a brownie or something =)

Good for you - but just so you know, you can make a reasonable brownie.

One package of reduced sugar devils food cake mix mixed with 1 can of pumpkin, spread in 13x9 pan and bake according to directions - fabulous - but you have to restrict yourself to 1 at a time.

Oh i make those! Only i put them in cupcake cups so i have them already portioned out so i don't eat too many. I even stick two semi sweet chocolate chips at the tip of each!

The problem was i had none of those with me at the office when the craving struck!

Santonacci- is this really all you add to the mix, one can of pumpkin?  I'm thinking that probably makes it so moist!  Thanks for the suggestion, I HAVE to try this to satisfy those devilish chocolate cravings.  :)

Do you add the other ingredients to the cake mix? Or just the pumpkin? I also find that Slim-a-bear ice cream sandwiches work well for chocolate cravings. They are only 100 calories and taste delicious.

you use just the pumpkin. It adds a ton of fiber!
Unsweetened pumpkin? Do you add sugar or sweetener or chocolate?
well i have read that people use the reduced sugar cake mix. but i use the better crocker low fat brownie mix. The sweetener is already in the mix.

Mmm, I still can't get over the pumpkin, it sounds so ridiculously fabulous!!

Never had the slim-a-bear but is that the one with the skiing polar bear picture on it? (weird that I remember that, I know, I'm strange, sorry) I may have to try this too!

What about frozen cool whip that is chocolate flavored.  Could that work too?

buy a small chocolate bar or piece of chocolate and instead of biting it, chewing it, swallowing, and repeating, let it melt.

or brush your teeth as fast as you can. i can't stand chocolate after ive just brushed my teeth. :P
