I'm here. I plan on doing a lot of stairs tomorrow. Up & down multiple times. Gotta get my Christmas decorations up. Just a few last minute gifts (have to post a couple of them) to get & of course all the Christmas baking this week. Then it's workout time. I plan on doing about an hour of compound weights & 20-30 minutes of cardio.

Sam reporting for duty.

I hit the elliptical with good resistance on most days, and Strength training on Saturdays.

My wife is on Team 3 so I figure I'll see how much she works out then report back to our Team so that we can match hers plus 10 minutes Tongue out I kid I kid.

Are we supposed to weigh in today (Thursday 4th)?

I plan on taking a good 30-40 run/walk/jog tonight. I've been doing good calorie-wise.

Idk about weighing in, I weigh myself once a day so any day is good for me. No time like the present, I suppose:

Dec. SW: 155.4

CW: 153.4

Down 2 pounds in 3 days! Totally not a normal occurance, but yay for now!

My Dec starting weight was 234

CW: 232.2

I like weighing in everyday as well, especially when you get to see those small 0.2 drops Laughing.  I had to get used to seeing the normal fluctuations, but after that I think it helps keep me on honest.

I didn't lose anything for slightly more than a week and then three days in a row of small losses.

Keep on kicking butt ab1435 ,after seeing your results, I am going for a walk now!!

yay for team two!!!

CW: 160

GW: 135

I would like to be 150 by the end of this challenge, but im trying not to slave to the the number on the scale!

my plan is just to eat right, listen to my body, and be active!!

how does everyone feel about creating a "weekly" challenge for our individual group? something to keep us motivated... like "exercising for 4 hours a week" something of the sort, regarding everyones preferences of course!

lets do this!!!

We're up to 4/10 of our group on here, we're kicking butt!

I feel you, Sam. I love watching those .2 deductions in weight! Keep up the awesome work as well. You're keeping me motivated.

and vandijb, I'm all for a weekly challenge, just say the word!

As for me today, you guys actually kept me to my word. After reading what ya'll were gonna do I felt obligated to keep my word and took a good run around the block in the 50 degree weather! That's cold for San Antonio. I also resisted going back for 2nd fudgecicle.  I try to keep my calories between 1200-1600 everyday and I'm ending today at 1345, a pretty darn good day, I'd say!

It's only Dec. 4th and I'm already enjoying this challenge! How're you guys?
-Angie

I'll do 4 hours of Resistance Cardio this week with one strength training session.

Great weekly challenge vandijb!!!

ab1435 if you can skip a fudgecicle I can skip a beerTongue out (I'll still have 2)

here i am....

i have upped my running to 5 times a week instead of 4 (as per a different training schedule) and i am trying to fit in pilates 5 times a week as well. i really need to watch my snacking, sorry boys, i know you hate to hear it but i'm PMS'ing, so every trip to the kitchen means another little handful (like a teaspoon full) of mini chocolate chips, i've got a mean sweet tooth. i did drop some weight though.

i am totally down with a group challenge. mine needs to be about skipping the sweets. i think my mini snacks are what get me in trouble cause i don't always log them (i'm saying this in a drifting away voice as i avoid everyones gaze cause i know how wrong it is and am avoiding looks of disapproval!!!)

i just need to remove my stomach!! anyone else up for that?

Well other than eating all my food groups and walking to campus today I didn't do too much. I ate really good, though!

I'm gonna try my darndest to get that 4 hours end before next thurs... I've got about 45 mins of it done haha.

and floydh77, I'm with you on the sweets front. My sweet tooth is so mean sometimes it could scare attila the hun.

Tomorrow I will: eat no more than one designated "treat" item and get 45 mins either running or on the tony little glider. Good luck guys, don't give up! I'm weighing in the morning!

5 days successful, only 26 more left this year!

Hey Team 2!

Sounds like you guys are doing great...

Sorry to say but a lot of your team members haven't weighed in, so if I don't hear from some of them by next weigh in, I will assign you guys into one of the other teams. I will try to let all of you stick together though since you guys seem like your really helping each other.

Keep up the good work!

If you need anything, feel free to contact me!Laughing

hey team 2!! did everybody make it through the weekend okay?

It's been a tough week with life & work getting in the way. *writes letter to Santa*

Dear Santa,

I tried, really tried to be a have been a good girl. Can I have a life of my very own? I promise to take care of it.

Love buggyhair

I aim to create a weekly deficit of 7000 calories this week with hopes of hitting 227.8 on next Thursday Cool. Of course that will be through exercise, well balanced and frequent meals.     2 Pounds, I can do it.

Good work everyone

i'm just stuck....so i've read up on the "starvation mode" thing that seems to be the answer for everything. i am not in starvation mode AT ALL. i am not near an ED, didn't even know that ED, meant eating disorder. i'm just in a plateau.....GRRRR

i log my calories, i exercise, i keep a deficit, i don't lose weight. that would be fine if i were gaining muscle (i run a lot) but my clothes do not fit any differently, they might even be tighter....

according to CC i should eat 1200 a day to give me a 500 calorie deficit. i ALWAYS eat more because i log all my exercise and then i make sure i keep at least a 500 deficit if not more. i like to start at sedentary and then add all the stuff i do into the burn meter. i know i eat a lot of carbs, but everyone says calories in< burned calories= weight loss....NOT SO MUCH!!!

i'm trying guys, i am, i frustrated and i feel like, i ran before and ate everything and anything that i wanted and was the same that i am now so why try to count and behave if it gets me NO WHERE!!! and my body is not comfortable at this weight, i am healthy, but can pinch and inch or two, and have wieghed less recently!

grrr.....

floydh77  it sounds like you are doing all the right things.

How long have you been "stuck"?  I don't have any answers for you, except maybe to mix up your work out, and add in more strength training.  (Not that you aren't already doing that)  Everyone is raving about HIIT training.

How about measuring hips, waist calves and such, even if the scale isn't moving maybe the tape measure will get a little smaller, try anything to keep that motivation burning hotYell.
You don't want to let the frustration cause you to quit trying if your not ready.

You can definitely do it!

i don't know what i am doing wrong.

i have to go get a tape measure but i don't see any physical changes.~sigh~

i won't give up, i am training for another marathon in march. so maybe upping my running an extra day (my first training schedule was 4 days a week and this is 5) and i am trying to do pilates 3-4 times a week. i'll check out this HIIT thing. maybe i just need to really bunker down. i already eat pretty decent, i don't eat a lot of junk. who knows, i'm frustrated, but have no intention of stopping until i get the look i want!!!

thanks for trying to help out. sometimes just having someone acknowledge your frustrations is enough.

p.s. that mask kinda freaks me out!!! HAHAHA!

good luck over the holidays...

ok, even though i have TWO of my own birthday parties to go to (celebrating once with awesome friends on sat, then at a bar with 2 other december babies on tues) i am going to try exceptionally hard to keep a 750-1000 a day calorie deficit this week. i did good today, so, we'll see at the end of the week...

to do this i plan to not skip any workouts (i usually don't anyway) and keeping the snacking down so when i want a drink, i won't be adding treats and drinks together!

wish me luck!!!

Ahh! So excited. I weighed myself this morning and i was at 102!
I've lost 2 pounds since we started. Laughing
