Boy insomnia is ... *refrains from using sarcasm*... It is unpleasant.
3:21am, tired, uncomfortable, still can't sleep.
I have to be up in 4 hours and 15 minutes to go to town and find a dress for the wedding on Friday.
I really shouldn't complain, I'm sure a lot of people get very little sleep.
I don't really mind, it's just frustrating when you're physically and mentally tired but your mind wont switch over into sleep.
... Plus I have sleeping pills in my bag but I'm trying to have a break from them because I think they were part of what was slowing my digestive track down.
I can't say it was them for sure, but I suspect it was them.
Anyway, sorry, whinge fest is over now lol.

I'm back for round two! Hopefully this month will be a little better....

Hubby used to have problems sleeping but we cured that easily. No coffee, coke or other caffeine filled products cpl of hours b4 going to bed.

NEVER take any sleeping pills; we are better off drinking a relaxing tea. there are plenty of mixes in the pharmacy, just ask around. we found a mix called "calm sleep" and it really does miracles for hubby. He doesn't need it anymore but we always have some in the house, just in case.

I *NEED* to sleep at least 8 hrs a night. Othewise I'm CRANKY and cannot work. So no matter what I do, I get my sleep lol

Cricketro05 - Lol yeah I need 10 hours sleep to work at my best.
8 hours is alright, anything under 6 and I can't function very well the next day and I make a lot of mistakes and I usually end up snoozing all afternoon.
Unfortunately caffeine doesn't seem to change anything.
I gave it up a year or two ago because I was building quite a strange addiction to it, although I still have a caffeinated drink perhaps once a month.
Once a fornight sometimes.
My boyfriend had some Night Tea which I brought home from his place because him and his mum weren't drinking it and he offered it to me, but I couldn't stand the taste/smell.
The other night listening to slow music (Adore, Smashing pumpkins, to be specific), helped in a meditation type way.
As breathing in time with the drawing notes made me relax.
... But that unfortunately isn't working tonight!
Far too much on my mind and it keeps ticking over everything.
I should be sleeping, with such a busy week ahead, but instead all I can do is think about it!

that sounds like stress to me; did you ever try yoga? or any other relaxation method? maybe a warm bath wt scented oils. do a search online and figure out which oils help you relax.

I always keep scented candles in the house. they give a very romantic feel to the room but also create nice smells.

Cricketro05 - Yip, I used to do Body Balance which was Les Mills form of Yoga ... Well, Yoga along with a few other styles.
It was fun getting more flexabil but I didn't really find it "relaxing" exactly.
I'm supposed to avoid scented oils in baths since I'm prone to UTI's and baths in general give me a chill.
Plus with it being so hot, the idea of a hot bath isn't pleasent.

Was out shopping/hunting for a dress in town...
Only took me 3-4 hours. Undecided
But oh well, I eventually found one I liked enough.
It's this fitted strapless white dress with a flower print.
Suppose it sounds boring lol, but I quite like it.

I'm weighing in very early because I won't have access to a scale again for a whole week because my hubby-to-be and I will be off eloping! :)  Thank goodness my Thanksgiving weight gain went away, now hopefully our little trip won't hurt too badly.  Given the holiday and the wedding, I'm going to stick with the 159 goal.  Any other month I'd probably drop it a little - but this month is tough enough as is :)

Our house has officially sold!
We're moving on the 12 of December, giving us a startling and scary 10 days to move!!!
I'm so thrilled and so unbelievably pleased that it is all over!

I took a hiatus in November because I was having the MOST FRUSTRATING plateau.  I am now under my plateau weight my almost a pound and it's the 170s for me this month.  Want to be at 175 by New Year's Eve.  Good luck to everyone this month and I hope you all reach your goals!

So my background is that I graduated college in May 07 weighing 143 - the heaviest I've ever been. Since then, I got a trainer and dropped 18 pounds. I feel great at 125, and have been maintaining that weight (ranging from 125-128 or so) since August. I'd like to see if I can get fitter, and trim off some of the fat around my thighs.
