loose skin has to be removed by sugery, once you have lost the elasticity you cant get it back.
Hay Karthik-

Im a female but i started where u were. How long did it take to lose that much weight and was it all calorie watching or did minimizing carbs play any factor in that awesome weight loss??

Thanx
*however*

at 21 years old, your skin still has a ton of elasticity.  I'm assumingyou're losing at a healthy rate- you'll see some slackness but it should tighten back up.  How long that takes depends on how much you lose- I hate to say you caould take as much as a year before your skin fits right again after you stop losing.. but it could.  Time is on your side, though.  Your skin won't get any MORE elastic, so it's good you're losing now!

oh- and congrats on your 60 lb gone!
Skin is a living organ. It is constantly regenerating. It does NOT lose elasticity like a stretched-out broccoli elastic. Let's not confuse wrinkles with saggy skin.

If you have loose skin more than a few mm thick when you pinch it, it's not loose skin, it's skin with subcutaneous fat. You need more exercise, like cardio, to burn that excess fat.

Have a search on Google for "loose skin" and weight loss. There is no shortage of ways to get rid of it - NONE of it has to involve surgery.
Skin Firming Cream. It's working wonders for me so far.  I recommend Jergens, but someone posted another name (expensive) that I can't remember.  It's worth a try, anyways.  I now cream up religiously every night.  If nothing else, it is another way to connect to my 'new' body and care for myself.
You can certainly help your skin to bounce back.  Make sure you are getting your vitamins and using a good moisturizer.
wish I was 21 and losing this weight!

I am 54, in the past year I have lost 98 pounds - I still have folds to lose (smaller folds than a year ago), but I have not yet encountered "loose skin" that would require removal - even my face has no lose skin or drawn folds that need to be removed.  I still have 62 pounds to go to reach my initial goal so perhaps my needs will change over the next year.  But just wanted to say at 54, with a 98 pound weight loss - baggy saggy skin is not yet an issue.
thanx for the reply guys.... :)
