1,000 + deficit

Hey Everyone.

I recently re-evaluated my calorie intake for the week and found out that I need a 1150 calorie deficit by the end of tomorrow to equal a one pound weight loss for the week. I know that most recommend not going over 1000, but is it okay if I only do it for one day?

Answer A: One day probably won't hurt anything.

Answer B: You're likely to have very low blood sugar the next day and to spend the day eating everything in sight.

Just to let you know, those numbers almost never work for me. I've had about a 4000 calorie deficit this week, and I've GAINED two pounds.

I'd say don't do it. Your metabolism will not thank you and you won't lose the weight by starving yourself for a day like that. It really doesn't work that way.  Anorexia is proof that you can starve yourself thin, yes, but obviously it's not healthy, because you still need a certain amount of calories daily. Even doing it for one day will make your body a little haywire. Fasting for a day or two does not amount to weight loss for a reason.

You have to weigh yourself at the same time every day. if your sodium intake is  high and if you are female. water weight has to be considered. for some women the difference between your morning weight and your evening weight can be as much as 7 pounds.  

3500= 1 pound.

12 calories x your weight = the amount of calories you need to maintain your weight.

However these numbers do not take into consideration your metabolic rate. If your metabolism is screwed up from dieting, or bad habits like eating once a day it is a lot slower. It would be better to lower your required intake by 500 calorie per day only  and increase your  exercise regiment
