lost 3 pounds this week!!!!!!!!

hi everyone,  that's 33 pounds since the middle of july.  i started at 276 and now i'm 243.  i just love it.  i'm eating these oatmeal cookies i make with flax meal in them and i really believe it helps a lot.  if anyone wants the recipe, i'll be happy to post it here for you.  i eat 4 servings every night and they are so good too.

today is my first kfc day.  i've been looking forward to it all week.  i'm only going to eat 2 wings with no sides so i don't go over my maintenance calories but i am so ready for it.  i've been eating healthy for 3 1/2 months and i love it and it's so easy... but i still gotta have kfc once in a while in my life to survive.  hehe

 welcome gt and good luck.  most people eat the 3 meals a day but i find it much easier to eat 5 times a day.  i eat smaller meals but eating more often makes it easier for me to stay on track.  of course, i live alone too, i imagine it would be much harder when you have a family and need to cook 3 meals for them.

well, i'm off to get ready to go to kfc.  i wish you all a fabulous weekend.  i have lots of work to do around the house myself and expect to work off the kfc before the day is out.  thanks for being here for me.  i really helps me to hold myself accountable and know that i'm not alone.

Hello, anybody home?  We seem to be too busy to keep up with things lately.

I've been holding steady the past couple of weeks, not losing, but not gaining either.  I'm gettting COLD, it's ridiculous.  I've turned the heat up 4 to 6 degrees from last year, and wearing more/heavier clothes at the same time.

some day i'm going to be posting my goal weight too. 

i didn't lose any weight this last week but i didn't post it on saturday because i was the last one to post.  lol  figured i'd wait for someone else to get on here.  i knew this was coming so i'm ok with it.  i lost 3 the week before and already lost 2 for this new week just starting yesterday.  must have been holding water last week to go down 2 in one day.  hehe

i didn't do any walking last week and my knee got so much better.  saturday i went out and walked more than we usually do when we walk and then we went shopping for 3 hours.  i've barely been able to walk ever since. Cry i'm going to try to walk at work tonight, since i get an hour lunch this week, but i'll take it slow.  i think i injured the tendon on the inside of my leg just beside my knee cap somehow.  seems i can't twist or jerk it at all without hurting it. it use to be the other knee and now it's better.  took months for it to get better.

i'm so happy for those that are losing and/or staying the same.  it's better than going up!  i hope everyone soon finds time to come back and post.  i love to read what others have to say, good or bad.  take care all and i'll see you all next saturday if not before.  love, kat

Hey katstar - you're a "star" too! I feel your pain. Literally, my knee is killing me. Makes it very hard to walk enough! I decided to dose up on naproxen for a few days. So far it still hurts but that stuff takes some time to build up in your system.

Hi all - I am down to 279! Seems like it is coming off slowly, but I guess that is about 2 lbs/week after 7 months of being on a calorie deficit so that is not too bad. I recently upped my strength training and saw a personal trainer to work on a plan for me. I am now back to doing 2000 cal/day (no less than 1900) because I had my metabolism measured and it turns out I burn kind of a lot for my stats, so the tools on here underestimate what I need. I think that is good news, but I have been staying the same for a couple of weeks so I am not sure if I am still losing (and just not showing it yet) or if that test was wrong. I am giving it some time since I had a lot of salt and then very sore muscles and then IBS cramping and it makes sense that those things could make me retain some water.

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well - stay strong through the holidays!

i only lost those 2 pounds this week that i told you about on my last post.  today is my weigh in day so they didn't count last week.  Cool

knee still a pain in the ___ but getting better.  hope i can walk soon but i'm going to start working out this weekend because i know from experience that i need to do some kind of exercise for this to work for me.  

going window shopping today with my sis in law so i'll get some walking in today even if it's not steady walking.  take care all and i hope to hear from you again later this week.

btw, i bought a 2007 ford taurus yesterday and it's a nice car.  now i have my own transportation.  things are really looking up for me this year.  thanks to you all for letting me share it with you.  love, kat 

we rock. look at us in here all droppin the poundage :) I'm actually off to the store to purchase another size down in jeans, and some new bras, undies, the whole nine. Gotta look cute for when i go back to see the family for thanksgiving.

yeah star, i bought 2 new pair of jeans and one is already lose.  lol  way to go girl!!!  feels good doesn't it?  keep up the good work.

i didn't lose anything this week.  i need to get back into walking and/or exercising again.  i also seemed to want to eat all night lately.  what's up with that???? 

anyway, i'm not going to stress over it.  i'm very happy with my progress and i'm going to get busy so i can continue to lose weight.  i'm putting up lights today so that should help.  lol

hope everyone had a fabulous thanksgiving, i did and i'm really looking forward to having a wonderful christmas even though i can't afford to buy many presents this year since i got a new car this month.  that will be my best christmas present to myself yet!!!!

Just to test the waters to see how much work I need to do, I took a walk today, and I was determined not to stop until I'd been out there for a whole hour. Surprising enough, I did 4 miles! Now, question is, can I eventually make it a normal thing for me to walk 10- 15 miles a day? We'll see.. I'm gonna need all the support I can get! This awesome cause is worthy of a life change for me!

i just wanted to jump in and say hi to all. i lost a pound this past week but i'm being so bad this weekend. Embarassed i know it's temporary but i've been lazy and a little depressed today. it's something i haven't gone through for quite some time and i hope it's over after today. normally i'm a very positive person.

I'm back.

Been holding steady for the last few weeks, but I am off of the adipex right now.  I go back to the doc next week, and I'll start it again then, I hope.  I can maintain well enough without it, but I stay hungry enough that I don't lose without it, and the cravings are more intense.

One good thing I just noticed about a forced 3 month platue, is that I am not having trouble with lose/baggy/saggy skin.  It was getting pretty saggy there, when I went off the pills 3 months ago, but it has tightened right back up again now.  3 months off seems to give my skin time to catch up with the loss, and get ready for the next time.

I'm still freezing, and I live in northern Michigan, so it's going to be a LOOOOONG winter.

I started my on-line profile this week, but have not yet actually started the exercising, but have started changing eating habits, being inspired by other poster's success and figuring out my game plan. I'll weigh-in next weekend.

Currently i'm eating around 1400 calories. I was eating 1300 but according to the formula I read on another post my BMR is 1378 so i wanted to make sure i eat over that. I'm 5'1.5" tall and currently weigh 253 pounds. I started at 277 on 1/26/08. I used a goal weight of 135 as my healthy BMR weight. I'd be greatful for any advice if i'm wrong on these number or just advice in general! Thanks so much and have a great evening!
