Delivery/Fast-Food Options NYC
I live around Washington Square and have been having a lot of trouble finding time to buy groceries and cook. It used to be so easy to order in every night when I was eating whatever I wanted. I've been able to find a few places that seem healthy but does anyone know somewhere that delivers and offers the nutritional value of their foods?
I'd like to know too.
Well, I live in B.C. Canada, we have Swiss Chalet here, they offer a lot of healthier options, but a lot of restaurants everywhere offer delivery and you can try to google nutritional information of the kind of food you are ordering...when ordering out, try to get a garden salad with a chicken breast and salad dressing on the side thats always a safe bet...be careful of how restaurants prepare food and if you don't know-ask! Some pizza joints now offer whole wheat crust-ask for it thin crust, load it with veggies, and ask them to go light on the cheese...that should save a few calories there...
Also...some fast-food places now offer low fat and low cal options as well, just be aware of all the extra sodium!
Good luck!
I can't think of a single delivery menu that included caloric content, and I lived off NYC takeout menus for 13 years.
I lived off of a lot of take out sushi. You've got a ton of sushi restaurants right near you, esp over near 9th & 2nd.
Definitely Silver Spurs and Otto are be avoided if you're trying to eat light!
Eva's is pretty good:
Also, Dojo isn't bad for an inexpensive, healthy meal. There's one on Mercer & W 4th and one on St. Marks.
