I have started water aerobics class 3x week for about 3 weeks and then just addes spinning classes 2x a week (just started last week. I have been watching what I eat too. I haven't lost any weight, but inches. Which at first I was a little sad about it, but then I got over it and was feeling better about my body. I deceided to take a pic of myself to compare to an older picture. Big MISTAKE!! I still look overweight with not much difference! I am so depress. I look like crap and feel awful! I know it takes time to lose weight, but I dont know. I am not happy. I just increase my intake on calories to get my metabolisim going. I hate this!
This is great because it means that you are building core muscles that is making your body stronger and is also protecting your skeleton.
Keep it up, you are doing great.
Also the more muscle you have the more cals you burn when your not even doing anything, just keep going things will improve
Thanks guys!! For the encouragement!
Nothing to add that hasn't already been said. Just want to say keep at it and you'll get there! I know it's hard and you want that darn scale to move, but the reality is it just won't every week-or sometimes for a few weeks at at time (grr). Hang in there! :)
Hi,
I wanted to loose weight also, actually to loose inches, and fat, I took spinning clasess 5 times a week, and took me at least 1,5 months to get used to the classes (7 years of innactivity), and be able to follow a whole class working as hard as it has to be.
Then in just two months I have lost 5 kilos, 10 lbs more or less, now I have to eat a lot to keep my weiht, and I have discovered I am ectomorph, so, just keep going, you will see result in time, maybe 3 months, maybe 6, but you will see it if you keep working.
I am sure that even if your pictures looks the same, you feel better, have more energy, your digestion should be working better, etc. etc.
I know how you feel okie! I have been working out each day 40-50 minutes on my new elliptical and I'm having to watch my weight rise. I decided to face my binge/purge problem about a month ago, and have been really good.... I knew I would probably gain a bit eating normally, but was hoping to combat it with exercise
..... It's very frustrating but I just try to remember that it takes time to build muscle, and I'm going to feel muscle come in before I see the fat go away. Just try to remember that, and remember how good you feel after a workout is over, it is so invigorating!
I am the same way. Please keep it up though! You are doing such a great job!
IDEA: Look at others' pictures of success on this website or go to The Biggest Loser website and look there. It is motivational, and it will be you someday very soon! But you have to keep it up!
Don't give up! You're doing all the right things. It might just be your time of the month right now and that may be causing some water weight, or maybe you've had more salt lately.
It'll come off...it will.
