~*~Designer Jean Challenge? Love my jeans by Valentine's Day!~*~
Hello ladies,
I am new to CC... as a matter of fact, just happened to stumble onto the site. But, so far, I really love it.
I'll give you a little background on why I need some help with motivation. This year has, officially, been the worst of my life.
Lots of long stories that I won't bore you with, but in this year alone, my dad (my hero) committed suicide (no warning signs, not a depressed person, the last person i would've ever expected!!). A week later, my husband found out his company, that he'd been employed at for the last 10 years, was closing, leaving him jobless. and after being surprised, but excited to learn, FINALLY, after 11 years of marriage, we were going to have a baby, I miscarried last month.
It's safe to say that I've self medicated with food... A LOT.
(why couldn't i be one of those people who STOPS eating during stressful times? LOL)
Anyway, I desperately want to take control back!! But I need help!! I am hoping to find some friends who would like to join me in a challenge.
Because i never really 'splurge' on myself, I thought, what fun motivation it would be to reward myself with the pair of designer jeans when i reach my goal.
I've never, EVER, spent more than about $50 for jeans, so this will be a treat!
So, anyone who would like to join, please, please, feel free!
What's your goal? And which jeans are you buying??
My goal is lose 10 lbs and 3 inches off each thigh. And my jeans are Paige Denim $215 (Women's Hidden Hills - Midnite Rocker).
I hope I meet some new supportive friends and I wish you all the best of luck and happy holidays!!
don't worry about the replies... the weekends are soooooooooo slow. tomorrow and on... you'll have TONS of replies.
{hugs}
Hi! I'll join your challenge. I'm new here too and it's always been an unofficial and unspoken goal to reward myself with a great, expensive pair of jeans that make my butt look great when I reach my goal.
Think I'm gonna buy some seven jeans though, not sure how much they are but my friends wear them and they all look great in them (i'm not that into fashion or designers, I just buy the stuff that looks good and fits me well). I have way more to lose than you though, trying to get rid of 40, preferably 50lbs
I can do it though, and so can you. You obviously have a great drive to impact your life for the better, or else you wouldn't be here ;-)
