The desire to have a search criteria dedicated to Graded food?!?

Quote  |  Reply

I like to tag some of the food I eat as "A grade" or "B Grade" food so on and so forth.  I wish CC would let you search for "A grade" food.  Or whatever grade.

I know the grades don't always mean "EVERYTHING" in regards to some controversy ingredients, such as high fructose corn syrup.

Thus considering yogurt that has high fructose corn syrup being graded "A" over locally made "straight from the utter" yogurt being graded a "C".(taken from michachu  "rant about the food grading system on CC").

I would just like to look over all of what is considered "A grade" to maybe add some of those foods to my "Diet".

Ya know?!?!

I had an interesting idea that was kind of similar...A lot of people ask for ideas on snacks or foods that are 100 calories or 50 calories or whatever-- something that will nourish their body and stop their hunger without destroying their calorie count. What if you could work backwards and search for say, "80 calories" and find foods that matched that?

Yeah, exactly!  Just more search options would be nice!

WOOHOO! People listened to me!! :)

That's a good idea too... and to expand on it and what I said last time... in addition to the nutrtion label when searching for a specific item (yoplait x yogurt or whatever), put the ingredients on there too!! You could even expand the search criteria with drop down menus for "contains" "does not contain" etc.

So you could search for A grade items that do not contain High Fructose Corn Syrup!!

As far as better grading my local dairy lowfat yogurt... I don't know the answer to that yet... but dangit I will think of one!
