i despise

Quote  |  Reply

people who eat "low fat" varieties

and i hate people who eat / make low fat cookies/biscuits

how about just accepting you shouldnt eat them

to me it shows lack of commitment

if you're gonna eat a cookie, eat a real one and stop kidding yourself that you

1. enjoy this low calorie equivelant

2. that you will keep the diet even though you're still addicted to the very things that got you in that state

fall off the wagon yes, stay on the wagon yes

dont hang off with your legs in the dirt

you'd be surprised but after not eating such things for a few months

you will realise you can (and i promise you) get pleasure from things you didnt believe were tasteful with out it being fried in 3 litres of lard or coated in a table spoon of sugar

your taste buds have been spoiled like that only child with millionaire parents and now that 16000 £ hatch back just simply isnt good enough

i am a firm believer in

if you cant moderate a particular food that is detrimental to your health, then its time to admit you can eat it at all

wowser, I am cringing in anticipation of the backlash this post will receive.

It is quite amazing to me that someones food choices is grounds for them to be hated. what kind of world are we living in?!

I personally think there are many low fat/healthy cakes and baked goods that can be made - I find baking really enjoyable and if I can do that AND not go crazy on calories then I have found a good balance in my life I think.

then you can moderate, that makes it okay

but only if you enjoy them as much as normal cookies

another thing i hate is replacing something that is 200 calories with something that is like 150.

another pointless exercise in tricking yourself

i despise...

people who attempt to be incredibly self-righteous, pious and po-faced because they are desperate to stir up trouble.

i also despise rice pudding. i think it looks like sneeze.

I despise people who hate people for dumb reasons. Not liking the mindset is one thing but to repeatedly say you hate those people?

Furthermore why do you care? Do what's right for you and if someone else wants to make a healthier cookie instead of having a less healthy version then so what? The idea that if you liked cookies and you got fat then you need to just never have cookies ever again is ridiculous and leads to feeling deprived and binging.

I actually take it back, I don't despise people who hate others for dumb reasons. I just shrug and move on. It doesn't change MY world at all.

1.to despise doesnt mean to hate.

2. it wasn't a deliberate attempt to stir up trouble

3. there are far more tastier healthy foods out there, you are just too lazy to look for them

4. dont diss rice pudding, and sneeze doesnt taste as bad as you think

5. eating is an addiction, i dont care how you look at it. d

do morphine and kid yourself its not heroin

dude, if you're ok with eating sneeze but think 'low fat' is beneath you, you need some priority rethink sessions.

and you said - i quote - 'i hate people who make low fat biscuits/cookies.'

6.   low fat is a CON.   i never mentioned low fat and if i did, i will edit it

i totally disagree with the op, and i bet alot of other people will too. i find your post to be downright rude, and by posting this without even thinking about how it may come off to other users of this site, you've made yourself look like a complete tool.

  1. cookies are really high-calorie. at my school, they serve the most delicious-looking oatmeal cookies, but they must have at least 500 calories, so fitting them into my daily calories would be very difficult. however, low-fat varieties can help people keep their same favorites easily within their calorie allowance.
  2. if you hate people who eat low-fat varieties, you may as well just deactivate your account now, because this site is full of those people you "despise".

also, i believe you're only supposed to post things like questions, concerns, surveys, and such.. not opinions you haven't even thought through.

oops maybe i did, and

i decided to keep it

because low fat is the largest ocn there is

calorie count is still almost the same

fat being replaced by a carbs makes no difference

cool, now off you go, bye bye *waves*

people need to see that there is more food out there

more things that contain a large amount of taste

that if you can retrain your tastes buds you get the same pleasure from foods you didnt think you would as you would a cookie

I despise Lima Beans.  Also anything that tastes bad, which for me includes most foods where splenda is used for baking instead of sugar, margarine instead of butter, etc.

and why are you so offended? is it because you know deep down thats what you need to do, and that it would be very very difficult?

that it requires discipline and effort?

Fair enough, that is a valid topic of discussion. Perhaps you'd get more useful replies if you worked on your people skills a little...

but smwhipple, you don't hate people who think lima beans are rather yummy do you?

thought not.

i've come up with a new term. food nazi.

not-so-deep-down i'm a recovering anorexic, so low fat isn't really on the menu at the moment.

the offence is at your use of the term 'hate' and 'despise' over something that is too trivial to apply those words.

margarine an butter contain almost the same amount of calories

splenda causes headaches and is bad for your health risks

the question is do you want to be slimmer or healthier?

because there is a large difference

im not having a go, im just pointing some things out

another thing,

you dont like things because you're not used to them, textures and such okay granted you cant like/love everything

but its like alcohol and coffee

i hated them, now i love them

olives are another example
