I have a question about determining frame size. I know you are supposed to take one of your hands and connect your thumb and index finger around your wrist...HOWEVER...my question is which wrist do you use? Your left or right? My left wrist seems to be a bit larger then my right.

Thanks!

That's a good question. I think it depends on if you are left or right handed. I am right handed so I would do the left wrist. I am not sure about this though.

I want to know because i'm obese if I do that same test am I getting an accurate reading becuase it would seem to me as I lose weight I will lose it in my wrist as well so how can that be accurate.

Interesting topic.

Kindal, I don't think it's accurate for obese people. I would definately wait until you lose some more weight. Good luck!

I personally think that the frame size is very inaccurate. I'm of a medium build as I am quite tall but not of the tallest or biggest people that I know, yet I am not petite either. Nevertheless, my fingers do overlap on both my wrists, only because my wrists are tiny!

The wrist test is wortless for frame size. Its puts me at a small fame, when IM clearly large.

The best way to determine frame size is the elbow breadth test.

My fingers overlap JUST a little bit, and I'm only 5'2 so I would think I'm small framed, but then again because my fingers don't completely overlap, I must be somewhere in the middle? The whole fingers around the wrist thing doesn't seem very accurate to me...

Also, I would think if you are obese, as you lose weight your wrists would get smaller...
