What DIDN'T you eat today?

Ok, I thought I'd be creative and start a new thread like the ever-popular "What did YOU eat today", only with a different spin.  What tempted you that you passed up?  What healthy substitutions did you make?  Did you eat a yogurt instead of stopping at McDonald's for breakfast?  Did you use mustard instead of mayo on your sandwich?  Let's hear your victories!

a ff turkey and cheese wrap with a kashi bar at lunch, instead of all the crazy good smelling fried things everybody else had . it helped that i knew that their school cafe. stuff didn't taste as good as it smelled tho.
we had ice cream sundae bar at work today, and i skipped it and had a plum instead! i need to make up for the weekend :)
Successfully avoided adding extra almond butter so instead of 250 calories worth I only had 60.  Egads I love me that peanut/almond butter.

I am sorta, maybe, kinda proud of myself.  My boss brought in a sack'o'bagels...and not just regular bagels, Panera-type bagels as well as the cream cheese to go with them.

I did NOT eat them.  Instead, I skulked back to my little bit 'o cube heaven and noshed on a banana, conserving calories for Employee Appreciation Week lunch, a Philly Cheesesteak, minus the cheese.

 

It was the first day of school and while everyone was eating fried perogies, french fries, greesy pizza, calzones and more, I was sitting at my table munching on carrots, yogurt, apples, and rice cakes. :) Mind you, I didn't eat the apple, and only had one rice cake... back to school nerves :S)

an everything bagel (300 calories) instead of a cinnamon chip bagel (410 calories) and reduced fat cream cheese (70 calories) as opposed to regular cream cheese.....

Fresh strawberries and pineapple for breakfast instead of a chocolate muffin!  (oh that muffin looked good....)
instead of having 2 eggo waffles w/butter and choclate syrup for breakfast like my sister i had a low fat strawberry yogurt mixed with banana and heart healthy blend cereal....it was really good and i totally forgot about the waffles
This was yesterday, but after a big month of struggling with night binging or eating rubbish I passed up the dessert at the cafeteria which was my 3 favs!! White mud, choc and white swirl pound cake, and caramel mud cake, all which has extra icing and looked DIVINE!!! I was SO tempted, I even got the bowl, but at the last minute I diverted to teh SALAD bar. I didnt deserve the cake that day, so I'm glad. Its not deprivation, I'll have it as a treat when i desseve it
A fruit smoothie with protein powder in rather than the burger that I really, really wanted.  The smoothie was much more refreshing!
I accidentally bought a pack of Crazy Sour Skittles (UK style, not US) but haven't eaten them yet! I'm going to have some toast and honey instead. That way I'll stay under calories.
I thought about buying a bag of baked chips to go w/my lunch out of the vending machine but couldn't because all I had was a $20 bill....  I'm so glad I emptied my coin purse yesterday.. lol
a colleague brought in chocolate coated, creme filled doughnuts and proudly handed me one. I accepted it, looked at it, realised I had no room for it in my calorie limit for the day, thought about eating it anyway, logged it on calorie count, saw the damage it would do, unlogged it, thought about eating it again, realised it's just a parcel of fat and sugar and has no merit whatsoever and decided not to eat it.

so that is about 300 calories saved right there.
Wow, you guys are inspirations!  Great job on passing up that donut, cookie1!  And way to break the binge cycle, red_herring!  Keep the triumphs coming!
I wanted to head straight for the apple cinnamon Cheerios [and I did], but for once I put the box away after one handful and had some bread and avocado. =]
I have a basket full of peanut butter hershey's kisses on my desk for students to stop by and have one or two. It's always there...I never touch.  Tonight I baked the "Peanut Blossom" cookies...the ones with a kiss in the middle...didn't eat even one.  I can't eat just one so it's better not to start.
turned down free chocolate and blueberry muffins for breakfast this morning and sulked into my non fat cappuccinno!

feel much better for it now though.
In fact, I did pass up the mayo on my sandwich today!  I had mustard instead.  And I like mayo!  :)
I bought a chocolate brownie. But I ate only two bites! And didn't eat the rest of them.

I PASSED UP A CHOCOLATE DOUGHNUT.  INSTEAD I WENT FOR JUST THE CUP OF COFFEE.
