What DIDN'T you eat today?
Ok, I thought I'd be creative and start a new thread like the ever-popular "What did YOU eat today", only with a different spin. What tempted you that you passed up? What healthy substitutions did you make? Did you eat a yogurt instead of stopping at McDonald's for breakfast? Did you use mustard instead of mayo on your sandwich? Let's hear your victories!
Reason: Released as sticky
I passed on being taken out to lunch by a client today!
Just had my WW soup and low everything bread instead.
I went to the mall today and.....
I DIDN'T GO TO THE COOKIE CORNER!!!
Thank God, if I wasn't vegan, thast wouldn't have worked out so well..... haha.
I ate my planned breakfast of 2 pieces of toast with Naturally More PB and a large apple instead of caving and having a slice of cold leftover ziti pizza (;
and yesterday, I ate massive amounts of fruit as an after school snack instead of breaking into the container of M&M cookies. and also chose a creamsicle (100 cals) as opposed to a strawberry shortcake bar (like 250 cals) when my school was giving away free ice cream at lunch for Student Appreciation Day. it was so good too
My sister's friend brought me a chocolate bar, and I had a staring contest with it for a while as I tried to convince myself not to eat it. In the end, I gave it to my mom :) felt good!
Edit- Also last, myself and a few friends were at a friend's house and everyone had beer and ordered in Chinese food, while I just sat and sipped water. T'was tough, but worth it.
we went out for bagels and I had brought a protein bar, apple and banana for breakfast. I somehow managed to eat what I brought and not get a bagel!!!
- In Jan. I went to panera bread, and instead of getting a cinnamon crunch bagel I got a whole grain bagel.
- We went to a cafe and I didn't get ANY dessert.
- We went to a mexican cafe once and I didn't eat any of the chips and salsa! >OOO<
- At school my friend always offers me junkfood and I always say no thanks! Take thattt.
Edit-
Yup! :DDDD
Ahh! I love this idea! Hmm unfortunately I have nothing to post today :/ But I'll be back tomorrow!!
We had a large family birthday party/get together. I had water all day instead of any alcohol. First time in 30 years I have done that. An added benefit was I ate less and could control the food/snacks easier.
My fiance has a pint of Ben and Jerry's cake batter in the freezer and I took it out and got a spoon. I immediately put it back and opted for 60cal strawberry yogurt with fat free whipped topping. It was delicious! I woke up today and had reached 12 lbs lost. I can't wait to try on my wedding gown and see how it fits compared to a month ago!
Good job everyone! It's tough but the longer you stick with your diet, the easier it is to pass on the bad stuff.
My boyfriend is obsessed with those little debbie's cosmic brownies so there is always a box sitting on the counter and I've almost grabbed one durring a chocolate attack, but always go for the sugar free jell-o pudding instead!I also always have bryers sugar free vanilla and hershey's sugar free chocolate sugar in the fridge and freezer for desert cravings! So happy I keep that stuff stocked up!
Also I've been avoiding fried food and have had one slip up in the past 6 months which I am proud of! I had quaso dip and chips at applebee's tuesday night :-( I couldn't help the temptation of the late night apps! BUT I figure one slip up in 6 months is hardly something to beat myself up over!!
I work at a hotel and Monday-Thursday we bake cookies for the guests in the afternoons. They smell amazing but I haven't touched one in 3 months!!! I normally walk away from the desk chugg a bottle of water and go do something destracting when I get a cookie craving and it's been working!!
Someone brought in red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting in to work today. I walked right by them and am enjoying my little square of dark chocolate instead. ![]()
well i was out with freinds all day cos it snowed, and i felt hungry when i was out. I was tempted to walk 2 sainsburys and buy some chocolate raisons but i didnt and just ate snow :). but it was fresh snow so it's all good.... then at lunch i had beans on toast and two satsumas.
i didn't eat:
an apple (i eat at least 3 a day and i figure by eliminating them it may help my weight loss)
gum (i have a pack a day orbit addiction)
Cool thread... Today I passed up on homemade Peanut Butter CheeseCake...while others were eating it, I just thought to myself..how good my subway will be later, and how I WILL lose my 3lbs for this week!
Hmm.. I still don't have anything to add to this thread! Hehehe
Today I talked myself out of a humongous chocolate chip cookie. And I just talked myself INTO working out tonight. Who am I? And what have I done with myself?
My friends were all eating chocolate chip cookies and brownie little bites, and I was veeeeery tempted xD. But, I stayed true, and ate a Special K Orange Bliss Bar (90 calories-woo!) that was veeeery delicious by the way :)
I put mustard on my sandwich instead of mayo, and I regretted it because it was too strong! It tasted like horseradish, which I was not expecting...
I also resisted the urge to grab a handful of Reese's Pieces on the way out of the dining hall like I do all too frequently. I am slowly learning that I do have control over what I eat, even if that control is very limited because I am eating at a large university cafeteria! ![]()
Hello new here signed up forever ago but never came back. So here I am and going to stick to this darn diet this time. Anyways I passed on peanut butter and toast which I could eat everyday and settled for weight control oatmeal and a yogurt for breakfast.
The last bite of my cookie! :D
