Why didn't I lose weight??
Ok so this is the starting of my third week and I lost 9 pounds the first week (i know a little to much but I didnt try to lose that much) anyways this past week I didn't lose anything infact I ganined .6 and I have been eating 1200 calories and drinking all water! I am discouraged...does anyone else get like this when there doing everything right??
ok so mayb the reason why your not loosing weight is because you don't exercize. and some times for women when they have their period they gain weight.
ok...well usually when your body is trying to lose weight it will loose a lot at first then sometimes people will gain weight but then when your body will start to loose weight. And when you have your peroid u women usually gain a lot of weight.
My vote is to only weigh in once a month, but measure weekly. Although your measurements will vary slightly (particularly in the stomach region), it is far more reliable. Scales don't tell you how much fat you lose, and doesn't account for water weight. Also, since muscle weighs more than fat, and you've been exercising, you could be putting on muscle weight.
Monthly weigh ins have really been a pick me up for me. I usually lose a bit of weight (even if it's only one pound, I'm still going down!) and often times I'll have lost 2 or more inches of my hips alone!

A teenager needs at LEAST 1500 calories. Keep that in mind. Use this calculator http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html to figure out your daily caloric needs. subtract 500 from given amount and you'll lose 1 lb per week.
If you are exercising regularly, your weight gain could be from added muscle; also I doubt it would be the total 6 pounds. Also, make sure you weigh yourself at the same time everyday to avoid weight fluctuations that occur naturally throughout you day. The best measurement for weight loss is just by going by how you feel. Do you feel like you're eating healthy and maintaining a healthy life style?
