Diebetes - Kicking It In The Pants Baby !!

I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diebetic late in Aug 07.  My numbers were sooooooo bad.....TriGs was 1952......yes 1952.  Sugar was 425 and all the other numbers were bad as well.  Chol was 325

Today my TriG is 177, Chol is 205, Sugar is consistiantly around 100 and I have cut my medication in half in less than three months.   I have done it by eating the right foods and exercise (weights and cardio).  My blood pressure, HDL and LDL are all in the normal ranges again which has not happened for 10 years. 

My goal is to get totally off the supid dietbetic medication with diet and exercise.  Pisses me off that I have to be on that crap.  I have hit a plateau at this point (losing 45 lbs) with my weight because I was not counting calories and have allowed too many.  So I am here with all of you counting calories to take me down to the next level.......(200 lbs....High School Senior Football weight)

I am feeling great........looking better and stronger......and changing my life around. 

I will not let my body decide my destiny........my mind will do that for me.

Wow -- that's pretty impressive! (not sure whether I mean the triglycerides level (1952???) or the recovery thus far -- the recovery!)

Welcome to CC, I'm sure you will be able to use the tools to help take you the rest of the way to your goals -- and there are many members here more than willing to support and help you along the way.

Thanks Kay.....this site has already help me lose a pound since I joined. 

It is really crazy how you can change your body dramatically in A very short period of time.  Unfortunately takes a life changing event at times.......I waited to long but it has motivated me.

what exactly are you doing to have such great results?? i have a mother, sister, 3 aunts, an uncle, and grandpa who are all diabetic! this family needs help! any advice!?!?
