RESULTS!!

So Ladies here it is the end of the challenge!!  This 12 weeks has flown by! IT has been great fun and the  ‘Diet 101 – Intermediate’ is coming soon so watch this space!!

This has been a great challenge, and a very educational one too, I did not realise how hard some of the challenges would be. I still stick rigidly to the salt and fibre that’s for sure.

We all made a fantastic effort and we all lost tons of weight!!! Between us we lost 120.5 pounds! I dare you all to try and pick that up at the gym the next time that you are there.  We are ALL winners in this challenge and I was reluctant to announce winners and losers because that makes the people who didn’t win think that they did not gain something. No one on this challenge has anything to defeatist about what they have achieved, even if you lost a pound it is a pound lost and we are all the better for being more conscious about our weight and we all stuck to something and stuck with it too!! 12 weeks is a long time to stay dedicated to a project so EVERYONE is a winner.

However……………….There were a few who do need a mention!

In third place we have JDS17! She scored an amazing 565 points and lost an incredible 15lb!! way to go JDS!

In Second place we have Christalrae, this is an amazing achievement considering that she was a late starter to the challenge. She scored in with 576 points and an amazing 9lb lost! This is a great weight loss considering its harder when you have less to lose! Well done Christal!

And in first place, we have the clear winner of this challenge, she is dedication personified its Social work Sarah! She has consistently won the challenges and stayed focused. She managed an AMAZING 661 points and lost an astounding 38lb!! That’s a small child she has managed to shift!  Sarah we take our hats off to you!

Congrats Christalrae and schnitzel! And good job on the under 300 lbs schnitzel, keep up the hard work!

I just want to say this challenge has been so amazing for me. Its provided me with knowlege and direction. It was just what I needed I'm sad that it is coming to an end :( but its been so wonderful and helpful. I've loved seeing everyones results and am very proud of everyone. Weightloss is a very heavy (no pun intended) issue for me and being a part of this has been such a support. Thank you everyone :)

OK....late to the game, just posted my stats.  Gained about a pound.  :(  I haven't been as dedicated lately, need a kick in the knickers, I suppose.

Anyway, fat calculator says 58 grams for me.

I thought this fatty challenge was going to be so easy since I normally don't eat a lot of fatty stuff but the timing was bad. I did good the first week but then Friday was the last day of school so I decided to eat pizza with the kids. I wasn't sure how much fat was in two slices of papa john's so I X'ed that day off then Sunday was a church brunch for the graduates another X, then today we went out for lunch (more pizza). Oh well, all I can do it get back up again and try again tomorrow.

Christalrae- Papajohns pizza is in the Calorie Count database for food, so you could check it out, maybe you'll get lucky :)

I thought about that too late. I ate the pizza that day so I figured I'd take a free day. I ended up eating cheese puffs and other junk (shame on me). Otherwise I would have stayed in with just to two slices. Thanks for trying to help.

I can't believe this challenge is over now.  I actually did okay in the fat challenge, stuck to my limit for 10 days.  No trans fat, no problem.

So this is a big day for me -- not only did I lose 14.7 pounds during this whole challenge, today I've officially lost exactly 20 pounds since I started calorie counting four months ago!  (202.6 on Feb 3 to 182.6 on May 31.)  I lost like a tenth of my body weight and I feel sooo much better.  The only problem is, I've spent so much of my life celebrating with fatty food and alcohol... I just don't know what to do with myself now.  Celebrate with bananas and soy milk?

Thanks, britishvixen, for the fantastic challenge, and everyone for the support!  Everything was useful, but my top three most valuable things I'm taking away from this challenge for life: lots of fiber, a lot less sodium, and one of the yoga shows my Tivo found during the exercise challenge (one of my absolute favorite things to do for exercise now).  In particular, the fiber and sodium -- I never used to care about them before, and now I think they affect my weight loss enormously.  It's funny because I tanked the sodium challenge, but I've learned since then.  I care about those numbers as much as I care about my calories now.

You all rock!  vixen, if you do another challenge, I'm in!

Thanks so much Vixen! I learned quite a bit during this challenge!

I wasn't able to participate in the last 2 weeks - i was on vacation in the woods - no way to track my fats.  I did avoid the trans fats as best I could though. (Mom was cooking so I only had partial control!) I did put back on 3 pounds during my vaction, but I have lost 2 of those pounds already!

I lost 11 pounds during the challenge! (This includes being put on a new medication in early February, which is well known for causing weight GAIN!)

Hi guys,

sorry for the delay in responding, I also have been on vacation! I will tally all the results this evening and post the winner tonight :) everyone has done such a great job We have lost over 100lb collectively! thats like losing Nicole Ritche!! LOL

Speaking of vacation, that's where I've been. Right now I'm a work, so I won't be able to post my stats until I get home in a few hours. I need to check my logs to verify, but I'm pretty sure I did well on the final challenge. Just have to say that this challenge sure did make being a loser a lot of fun! :D

Edit: I posted my stats. I did okay considering I drove to Atlanta during Memorial Day weekend and ate mostly fast food the whole time. I might have aced the mini challenge if I had made better choices, but eh, I needed the brief break and besides, I still lost 2 pounds. Yay!

Well done everyone, final results are at the top of the page!!

Diet 101 Intermediate comming soon, watch this space!!!

I can't wait!!!!!!

I've learned so much and this challenge has taught me so much and kept me on track. I cannot thank you enough Britishvixen! I am using everything I've learned and its making it so much easier to change my lifestyle because I have so much more guidance then ever before. I've started to feel like a whole new person.

I think everyone who stuck with this is a big winner! I've enjoyed seeing your success congrats to all!!!!!!!

I can't believe I got second place. I had no clue I even did that well.

Congratulations Socialworksarah! You worked very hard for this challenge and definitely deserve first place!!Smile

Thanks for everything britishvixen. I enjoyed it.

Congrats everyone!  And holy cow, Sarah!!!
