You know how can make diet coke cake by mixing diet coke with cake mix; can you do the same with brownie mix and make diet coke brownies?

lol i tried it...they are baking right now.
It sounds good.

Sounds tasty! do you have teh recepie and nutrition facts? if so please post and share!

There's a recipe that uses black beans and a brownie mix.
i've always wanted to try this too. do let us know how it turns out. do you use one can of pop?

i like diet coke.

i love cake.

and i looove brownies.

but i honestly cannot comprehend how the both of them together would taste. yeah yeah, "don't knock it 'til you try it" but.. that is just such a weird combo.

after i hit my weightloss goal i'll have to make these. and my mom'll think they're weird so i'll get them allll to myself. ;D

they should be out of the oven by now.........is she sitting there eating them all?
lol.. i just used a brownie mix (120 calories for each piece..there are 20 in total) and just mix the brownie mix with diet coke until all is disolved..bake it as directed.

They are a lil spongy but they sure do taste good :). My lil bro loved them, now lets see how my roomates like them!
eggs, oil and milk are all substituted by the diet coke because the soda has all the ingredients needed to make the brownies
Hate to rain on the parade, guys, but Aspartame, the sweetener in Diet Coke,  should not be used in heated cooking, as it breaks down easily at relatively low temperatures.

If its the splenda Diet Coke, bake on :)
whoa! that's awesome! does it work with other diet sodas or just coke? can i use, say sprite or something?

Sorry if I sound ignorant but what is the problem with the aspartame breaking down? Does this make it more dangerous? Just curious.

If the aspartame breaks down, the diet Coke will no longer taste sweet. So basically, it becomes carbonated water. You probably won't notice it in brownies, since they have a strong chocolate and sugar flavor anyway.
you cant taste the diet coke in the brownies at all lol.

And yes you can use other sodas, clear sodas for light colored cakes and dark colored sodas for dark colored cakes.

Also you can use diet coke to make cakes as well...more known as "Diet coke cakes"
this is quite interesting. might give em a go on the weekend.
i just tried this last night, with cake. i used regular diet coke, not the kind with splenda, so you can't really taste the soda. they're a little gummier than normal, but otherwise? FREAKING AWESOME.
I am going to bake this brownie and diet coke recipe over the holidays. . .I am so happy to hear it taste really good, thank you for your post.
Im going to make a diet sprite cake (using sprite because the cake is white) and going to make some pumpkin frosting to go on it.

I love diet coke cakes.. It makes baking so simple and low cal lol.

I think I've heard almost everywhere that aspartame when exposed to high temperatures ie baking, breaks down into a poisonous substance.

Not sure if this is true or not, but better safe that sorry, right? So try to avoid using aspartame sweetened diet coke. Go for Splenda (sucralose) sweetened coke instead.

Aspartame is also said to slow down metabolism while Splenda has absolutely no effect on our bodies. So I guess Splenda would be the better choice in any situation =D

Splenda sweetened coke? Would that be like Coke Zero instead of diet coke?
