Diet Coke Brownies?
My wife and I are going to try the diet coke cake, but what about diet coke brownies? Any ideas?
Reason: Moved to Recipe Forum
Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie Mix (- frosting)
1 Can Diet Dr. Pepper Berries and Cream
It was very choclately, but, a little more like cake, which is ok.
I cut it into 16 pieces which is about 185 cals per serving, which is a little high for a snack, but it is cake (brownies) after all. I bet it would be good with some FF whipped topping. I wonder if I can freeze the extra pieces? Im going to try.
Overall rating: I give it a D, for Delicious.
jen32966 - you substitute the diet coke for the water/oil/eggs. You just mix the diet soda with the cake mix. Bake it the same length of time and the same temp.
Diet soda contains aspartame, no? I wouldn't suggest baking with diet soda because aspartame is not supposed to be heated to above 86 degrees because above that heat it becomes fermaldehyde.. just trying to be helpful =] don't won't ya'll to eat poison.
violet. that is false and an urban legend/internet hoax.

I've heard of using sugar free dry pudding mixed with cool whip as a frosting...sounded pretty good to me.
