I've basically figured out what I'm going to eat to lose my excess fat and fuel my exercise routine.
Breakfast
Fruit smoothie with mangoes, bananas, berries or whatever else I feel like and possibly a few handfuls of greens, along with flaxseed meal
Lunch
Tons of leafy greens with fish/beans/nuts/eggs and vegetables (I especially like tomatoes and cucumbers) and dressed with olive oil and lemon juice
Snack
Fruit or some nuts
Dinner
A piece of fish or lean meat with a lot of steamed vegetables and a dip like guacamole or hummus with veggies to dip in like carrots and celery
It would probably add up to about 1800 calories per day with plenty of protein, fiber and healthy fats. Also, although it follows the same general pattern, it has a lot of variety. :) Yay!!
Hey well done thats looks pretty good!:-) If you want some constructive criticism though I would say you need to add a bit more carbs like cereal, rice, bread and potatoes...they'll help you feel fuller and they actualy help you lose weight! 1800cals is a good goal to have so Id stick to that. Anyway hope that helps and good luck!

Thanks for your suggestion. :) I like brown rice (my family usually eats white rice but I do my best to avoid it, lol). I also like whole wheat bread so I'll include that as well.
Hey you should check out the green monster movement for breakfast smoothies!:

It seems right up your alley. Don't know how you stay satieted on those things, they're tasty but I always end up hungry after an hour or so. lol.
Defiantly get some carbs in there. I bet that salad for lunch would taste yuuummy with a piece of toast. Ever tried making "italian" toast? Take some olive oil and kinda butter it onto your toast, and then sprinkle some italian seasoning.. God it is AMAZING! Especially with sweeter breads. :P
I would also reccomend eating fruit AND nuts at the same time. Smaller portions so you can fit it within your 1800 calorie range, but it'll be a much more balanced snack so that you stay fuller for longer.
Kudos for not undereating. I was cringing at the idea that this was another under 1500 calorie diet from a teen and I would have to bang my head against the desk a couple of times before replying, lol.

Um, everyone on this site seems to be saying that 1500 is the minimum acceptable amount of calories for a teen to eat. So what's wrong with a teen posting a diet that adds up to about 1500 calories?

The previous poster was worried it was another diet 'under 1500' calories. But since 1500 is the bare minimum for a very lightweight, totally sedentary teen, it's also a concern if someone who is particularly heavy or reasonably active states they intend to do that. Has to be judged on an individual basis.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
