Has anyone seen the new Nestea and Liptons green teas. they have diet flavored green tea. there is citrus and peach flavors. they are no calories, which i know is less than 5 and some sodium. but i tried it. i usually take it herbal and warm but i wanted to try them. they are good. they seem ok to drink too, do you think they are nutritional as the hot herbal stuff?????

I love this stuff!! I have recently tried 2 of the flavors...the diet green tea Mango and the diet green tea asian pear...wait but the ones I have tried are snapple...so good - I def. recommend them!!!
Definitely not.  Real green tea is herbally flavored water and has no calories.  The bottled drinks are flavored with sugar and sweeteners, probably high fructose corn syrup, hence the need to make a "diet" no-cal version.  They probably aren't hurting you any, but they're probably not any better than just drinking plain water ... and they definitely aren't going to have the antioxidants and bioflavonoids of fresh-brewed green tea.
but they are still less than 5calories, right??? i am not really worried bout the nutrition too much b/c i drink a lot of herbal tea but i kind of like them for a sweet tooth.
