diet or health foods you wouldn't touch
no matter how "healthy" or "good for you" or "full of vitamins" they are, let's admit: there ae some foods that are just NASTY. list yours here!
examples:
raw spinach
plain oatmeal
mini-wheats (sans frosting)
cantaloupe
juice
I like all the foods mentioned in the original post! I love fresh foods cooked from scratch.
My never eat foods are
Processed diet foods
Artificial sweeteners or food and drink that is artificially sweetened
Those protein powders (like drinking thick chalk water and the vitamin smell and aftertaste is gross!)
soy milk
okra, except in gumbo
tofu hotdogs and cheese
anything pretending to be meat
I just hate fake, manufactured food.
I hate canned vegetables, except sometimes corn
All kinds of milk except skim
I hate fresh tomatoes... but I'll eat a tomato any other way
Peas are gross...
That's about it.
American cheese and Velveeta are nasty, but I don't think those fall into the healthy food category.
I hate more junk food than I do healthy food... so I have that in my favor ![]()
okra
oysters
grapefruit
strawberries (allergy)
almond milk. A lot of people on here love it but it looked like semen.
nuts (my stomach can't handle them)
sashimi; I'm a vegetarian but even before I was, I couldn't eat it. I hated the texture.
EW GREEN OLIVES. haha lemonjello, I actually love black ones..
cantaloupe. well, I guess I can tolerate it, but it tastes like nothing to me!
and corn prepared with tomatoes. Like, in soup or something.. I dunno. I just hate the taste of corn with tomatoes!
I tried appreciating the taste of no-salt-added cottage cheese, but to no avail >< I had to add my own salt in!
Artificial sweeteners! They're all awful and either give me a headache or really unpleasant "dry mouth". Except cyclamates which were available for a short time back in the 60's and, of course, turned out to be dangerous so they were withdrawn from the market.
Thank goodness, I love most veggies...and even like the ones I don't love...except brussels sprouts - yuck! I agree with the poster who so vividly described their aroma.
And skinnyogi, I will never be able to look at almond milk again without laughing!
