Not a diet but a new way of life.

WOW down 90 pounds!!!

Well I have finally done it or perhaps I should say am doing it. I have changed my ways. After being so heavy for so long something finally changed in me back in March. I changed my ways into my new way of life. I am eating right and exercising. I am now down 90 pounds!!!! Each time I have hit a milestone like 50 and then 75 and now 90 it makes me even more motivated than before. Next will be 100 and the sooner the better. This time it is for real I have it in me and will not fail I will not go back to my old ways. I started my journey at 483 pounds and now I am at 393. I am still very heavy but I feel great and even fell younger. My wife says I am like a young man again (if you know what I mean). I have been logging all my exercise and just looked back at my logs and realized that I have exercised 10 out of the last 12 days. I have a busy day today but somehow I will work it in today too. Good luck to everyone we can all do it together. Oh a special thanks to CalorieCount.com for their blackberry app that allows you to look up foods on the go. This has proven to be a great tool for me as I am in car most of the day.

Caio for now,

Vinnie

Way to go! Did I read your post correctly... you've lost 90 pounds since March? That is impressive. It's taken me over a year to get down just short of 60 lbs.

I agree this is not a diet, but a life style change. Congrats.

Thank you,

It is correct 90 pounds. When you are as big as I am it comes off fast. Doctor has warned me that it will slow down. I am trying to prepair myself for the normal 2 pounds per week but I am still exceeding it. As a precentage I think it would be like a 250 pound person loosing like 40 pounds. However has taken a lot of hard work at the gym.Wink

Wow! 90 lbs?! That's insanely awesome. Congratulations and good luck!

YEA VINNIE!  You've done a terrific thing, both for you and your family!

The doc is right...it slows down...but at this point, just enjoy!!  (That's what I did...started March 1 at 290, am down 61 pounds)

Tell your wife I'm happy for her!!Wink

Congratulations on the new healthy lifestyle!!!  What a huge presant you are giving yourself and your family.  I am beyond thrilled for you!!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of a Healthy Lifestyle!

Congrats to you, that is excellent. I too have come to realize there is no quick fix and after years of yo-yo diets and fads I have just decided to keep it simple...eat less and move more. I am so happy for you, it is a huge gift you are giving yourself and your family. I have come to relize after more than 20 years of being overweight, that it is always going to be a stuggle but I can beat this and I will. Isnt it motivating when you see the pounds coming off :) Keep up the good work :)
