Diet pill marketers FINED for false claims

Just read this article and thought some here might be interested.  Not only were these companys making claims they couldn't prove, one actually had a study contradicting the effectiveness of their pills!  Amazing.

Now this is the kind of weight loss legislation I want to see inforced. Finally, go after the hucksters instead of the snake oil!!

finally!
Just to make things a bit clearer:

Window Rock Health Laboratories (who were finded $12 million) are the not only the makers/marketers of CortiSlim and CortiStress but also Relacore, Leptoprin and Leptopril.
...and I remember each and every one of those ads! Knew it was BS!
At one point I actually tried xenadrine and it did NOTHING except give me a whopping headache...

Gotta do it the ole' fashioned way!!
Did you hear about that new drink from the coca cola company? I forgot the name but it is a mix of green tea and caffeine that is supposed to "help burn calories" (I think it's written on the can). I don't believe it. I believe it certainly makes you jump at the ceiling with all that caffeine :-)
The "funny" thing is that they say it is not advertised as a weight loss product, that saying that it helps burn calories is not the same as saying it is a weight loss product!  Yeah yeah...
